Yes, Rapido supplied with traction tires. No northamerican model railroader needs something like that. I exchanged those too. Thanks to Rapido for the great service. And thank you for your video. Nice to see a BC RAIL engine.

When I was modeling n scale I had 5 rapido dash 8 I did the same thing . i called them and is spoke to Robin and he sent me 5 axles ... Great Company and some of the best customer service. now that i model H.O i am waiting patiently for rapido to re release those drapper tappers in H.O so i can get my hands on them again... Man I miss those diesels.

Rapido does have a great customer service department and Robin is very helpful for sure. They are nice models and definitely scream Canada... Looking forward to finding the time to give mine the appropriate level of road grime and grunge. Hoping your wait for a second run isn't too long. Cheers.

I love my Rapido Dash 8. Best pulling locomotive I have. I take it you just can’t cut off the traction tire. Thx for the video 👍

They are really nice units to be sure and they still pull quite well without the tires. I personally would much rather have the extra electrical contact. The traction tire equipped wheels are grooved so you can't simply cut off the rubber unfortunately. Cheers. -grant

Rapido makes cool equipment..I wish they would make a sd40-2 nscale cp rail with the Canadian style nose headlight and front bell.

I hated traction tires in O scale and just as much in N scale. If it starts to slip, More Power! It is an excuse to add another engine, and with a purpose. SP Fan here and you know you are not properly powered if you do not have 7 SDs up front.

Managed to find the only place they are instock this side of the pond. Liked the one I got so much decided it looked lonely so just ordered a second. What I haven’t worked out is how to get the body off to put a decoder in it. Nothing in the rapido instructions and nothing on Google. 🤨 have you gone with an Esu next 18 as I know normally you are a Digitrax guy.
