Nairs are separate identity. Vilakithala, veljthedath, anthur, they are helpers of nairs, they could not put nair as surname that is the main difference. They should work with nairs tharavadu in Malabar because Malabar have more ancient houses than travancore, that's why sukumaran said sashi tharoor is a tharavadi nair. Correct. Malabar nairs are higher than travancore nairs by culture, custom dignity, ancient houses. I think 70 to 80% of nairs in malabar not bother about Nss .

i think this is a "sneha paara" to Sasi tharoor by Pope Suku to brand him as a just a nair guy so that other castes dont support him and to project ramesh independent of NSS support. So that Ramesh can gain the support of other castes. Ramesh is hellbound to become the CM of Kerala. so this might be a quotation of ramesh to sasi tharoor.

Sashi Tharoor may be aristocratic.But Sukumaran Nair is not. He is not a good leader.Comparing Sukumaran Nair with Mannam is a joke. When every community supports it's representative why NSS can't support a member of the Community ? Ummen Chandy is the product of a particular Church and became a leader through Malayala Manorama. K M Mani was a representative of the Arch Bishop.Then Hindu communities have an obligation to support it's members.
