I exited PG INVIT today (50K investment) 3k Loss and I sold along with profit of other stock (3K profit) . so no loss and no gain. From that capital, I considered dividend stocks like OIL, ONGC and Chennai petroleum. now I am mentally free, PGIVIT is the top loser in my portfolio and always red. I am sure about capital appreciation of OIL, ONGC and chennai petroleum but I cannot trust PGINVIT any more.

And why do we need to compare petrol price of 2014? Based on inflation, the price of petrol is at a discount now. And salaries are increased based on DearnessAllowance - to adjust inflation. So peoples salary also is now atleast 2 times if not 3 times

PE of IDFC first bank and IDFC is > 19 (small cap) which is high for banking sectors. Why not bank of baroda (large cap) and bank of india ( mid cap), their PE is < 7 ? ??? and it is performing well . Looks like IDFC may fall further so I have exited IDFC and considered bank of india and it's trading less than the book value.

@@gansm7529 🙂BOI is PSU bro. IDFC is Private bank. Management is more responsive and working to achieve Growth. But have you ever gone to BOB, BOI or SBI? Intent of employees are not towards growth. Its a government bank offering service. Profit or loss doesn't matter to them. Leave IDFC. Just check the median of PB for Private banks and PSU banks for the last 5 years. Very few PSU bank may have Average PB around 1.5 whereas Average PB of private would be higher. You cannot compare HDFC, ICICI , IDFC with Indian bank, Canara bank , BOB etc., This is my understanding. If you are confident, go ahead 👍

We are definitely unaware about the tax implications in case of Tata Motors' AOS vs NOS share swap. As I benefited from the arbitrage opportunity of Tata metaliks vs Tata Steel, I sold Tata Motors and bought DVRs based on your suggestion a year ago. So I paid LTCG once back then. Now again LTCG, deemed dividend tax, lost some shares as the no. of shares been reduced during this swap while yesterday's allotment. Loss is more Anand sir in this case of swap from *"A Ordinary Shares to New Ordinary Shares"*. DVR's additional dividend of ₹0.10 per share is nowhere near to compensate for the above deductions and taxes. Yes, I am in profit from your many suggestions including bonds, BeES and shares, and will surely continue investing in Tata motors but I must say that you "you failed to forecast the aforementioned loss".

You should see his programs collectively for a week and connect it. He says invest at tiffin coffee range - meaning 1-5 stocks at a time - whis will not pinch purse or drastically alter profits and in case of a market nose-dive will help hold it until come back. Sir also says that the moment you have 1 lac to invest, do it in bonds. The share suggestions are for less than 1 lac at a time. So you need to combine these points and take the total picture.
