Electric Steam the rice in water (porridge) 1.5 hours, then stir boil 1 hours = 2.5 Hours. Less labour stirring. Porridge very soft & smooth, don't stick bottom pot, achieve same texture. For me, I straight steam 2.5 hours. Porridge Base ready. Just match with some cooking dishes (teo chew style) or just use pot boil style, marinated chicken with ginger lines, seasoning immediately.
