Guys it’s obviously meant to not look that great. Throughout the movie, characters are actively hating on it, Miles says it’s his first time. And plus the suit got destroyed. It’s definitely set up for a better suit in the next movie. It’s also prolly symbolic for Miles not trying to be like the other spider man, so he’ll make a new suit from scratch this time that doesn’t resemble the others.

Kraven says in the boss fight prior to Peter "You're still holding back..." If he was still holding back against Kraven, whom he has reason to be angry against since he hurt and captured MIles, then he's definitely trying his best to hold back while the symbiote enrages him in his fight against Miles. Miles is a friend to him, a student to him and even more so a little brother to him. He'd be trying his hardest to fight against the urges of the Symbiote at that point. This fight wasn't a 1v1, it was a 2v1. Miles and Peter vs the Symbiote in disguise.

@@ssmaster929 The fact that Peter was emotional should be an extra motive for him to become even more aggressive and, consequently, more violent towards Morales. By the way, Miles' electrical powers would never hurt the Symbiote to the point of defeat, since its weakness is sonorous vibrations, not electricity. Perhaps it would work with Carnage though, since his Symbiote is weak to fire. Electricity and fire are not too far away. Anyway, I'm pretty sure Peter would've won... IF the script was well-written, of course.
