I remember the day OG won Frankfurt like it was yesterday, n0tail walking up to embrace the fans after finally winning a big one. What an incredible 6 years it has been since then supporting this team. I've followed n0tail ever since his clowny antics caught my eye at TI3, I've supported him through C9 and the infamous departure. There is no esports player who deserves a step back more than Johan. I've never felt a connection with a sports team like I've felt being an OG fan. "King", "God of Dota", "A-god", "B-god" all these nicknames mean nothing to me because N0tail is the true king and god of Dota and esports. It's hard to find the right words in all of this but I love you Johan and I don't want this to sound gay but you are THE flower, THE river and THE beautiful sunshine, you have made me and many others fall in love with Dota, OG and the style of OG Dota, and I am forever thankful for that. #ForeverOG

You expressed the words far better than I could have. That attitude caught my eyes and I just instantly fell in love with n0tail. There won't be another Johan in eSports. No one as dedicated to this world, to the game as he has been. A 3 year old kid playing games to a 16 year old quitting the regular teenage life to be a professional gamer, then winning majors at 21-22 years and then finally winning TIs at 25. That 16 year old boy spent the last 12 years almost with Dota and managed to overcome all the hurdles to become the most decorated and most successful eSports player in the world. He has given me so much hope and inspiration, and OG in itself has given me so much joy. It's hard to explain in words, you can keep writing and it'll not be enough to describe the feeling. I just feel like you summarised my current emotions pretty well. 💙 Johan is the one true king, the legend of Dota 2. The flower, the river and the sunshine ❤️

I've played dota1 a bit and i play dota2 with bots once in a while just for fun. But OG is the reason i watch all major tournaments of dota since 2015(i think was around miracle joined og). Till 2015 i had no fucking idea dota was that big in terms of competition and prize money. OG will always by my favorite dota team.

I think what really broke the magic was the year without TI. It broke the rhythm. It's like you are running and you are breathing and it's all going at a steady pace, and then suddenly you ran one too many steps without breathing and suddenly you are cramping and things are going dark and it just does not feel right anymore. If there were a TI 2020, it would have either projected those guys even further or that might have been the end of them. But when everything got delayed, an out-of-breath situation occured. Anyway, just as Notail once said, "Dota is a lot like life you know, shit happens, you just have to deal with it." I'm gonna miss Notail delivering the sickest wisest words. Thank you for bringing us so many.

I want to start with a huge THANK YOU Johan for literally everything. For creating this organisation and putting the friendship and family values at its core, for the team that was built together with Seb, for this amazing run, for the memes, for allowing us to actually feel like we've been part of your journey all along. I'm sure that I can speak on behalf of many when I say that we really love you as a person, the human being that you are, you're awesome. The journey from that young boy to this man is actually insane and you and everyone who knows you should be so proud of what you've accomplished not only professionally but as a human being as well. People who love OG follow this team not only because of its past results, but because we believe in the core values of friendship and family, which is something we sometimes forget when we play competitively, but ultimately its the only thing that matters. Having you representing this means so much to all gamers that want to stay healthy and positive. So, again, thank you for everything. Having that said, I feel like there is something left unsaid from this interview. I understand that all members of the roster needed a break and/or a change of air, but I can't help but think that if they had finished in a higher position at Ti10 maybe only Topias (and Seb) would have taken the break, not everyone. Clearly something happened within the organisation that has influenced their morale, so much that everyone needs to get out of that vibe and recalibrate their mind. It must not be easy to be a 2-time TI winner and live up to everyone's expectations. Suddenly even placing Top 3 seems like an obvious result and I think this can become pretty taxing mentally

Heartbreaking but I wish all the best to you Johan. I've been a fan since HoN back in 2010 i think. I remember those crazy times when you shifted to dota and watching you live stream screaming killing weaver under tower. Not to forget your meepo plays. Then slowly I shifted to dota as well, still a big fan of you even when you lose at ti, not only that but when fly left you it hurts. Looks like the original roster suffered from a burnout after ti9, Ana and Jerax retired early cause they already felt it coming...I hope Notail, Ceb and Topson can take it easy and relax. From what I heard, Sumail and Saksa was not kicked in OG. They have given a choice wheter to stay and play with a new roster (probably with new inexperience players in competitive scene) or to leave the team in order to play for a biger and more competitive team.
