Great confidence-inspiring video for those a bit nervous of doing this (like me.) I especially enjoyed how you explained setting the pilot mixture, it finally takes the mystery out of it. Thanks a lot.

I've watched a lot of builds, I have a V-star 650 classic that will be bobbed soon. You've given me confidence about the wiring. And now that this video is done I want to tell you that I have never enjoyed a build video as much as this. She turned out sweet ! And I meant what I said about your B GT. Oh! I love them!! Looking forward to your invite, a ride on the Queen Mary 2 will get me there. I'll even by the beer !

Much better. Nicely done. I am making a bobber out of a basketcase 1992 Yamaha XV750. I've had it for 2 years but it is coming along. Thanks for the encouragement.

Hello from South Florida, the beautiful machinery looks freaking amazing, just love everything little thing you have done to her. Loving the black and chrome, please make a video of her riding on the road and in the wind. God bless and ride safe. Thanks again for sharing your bike with us all.

I had a set of forks that were pitted like that, I used a wire wheel on my drill to get most of it then a wire wheel on my dremel for the tight spots and wiped it down with oven cleaner before applying fresh clear coat, they now look new

Instead of adjusting the pilot mixture, which is what most people do, you might want to consider removing the AIS. The following information is a write up on this removal kit from a website that sells this kit, it explains whats happening with the backfires. The stock Air Induction System (AIS) which introduces fresh air into the hot exhaust stream at the exhaust ports causes un-combusted gasses to ignite creating a backfire (especially during deceleration). With stock, highly baffled exhaust systems, it's difficult to hear. But when installing aftermarket exhaust systems, this backfiring becomes very loud and annoying........Furthermore at thousands of RPMs, the AIS creates a virtual "torch" at the exhaust port, resulting in extremely high temperatures which can quickly cause bluing of Chrome and overheating of Ceramic Pipe coatings Also, during tuning the fresh air introduced by the AIS into the exhaust stream will create an incorrect "lean" AFR (Air to Fuel Ratio) reading which often causes mechanics to over compensate and adjust the AFR to a very rich setting. Nonetheless, here is the link to the website........ www.pacificcoaststar.com/pcs/yamaha_ais_kits.htm?gclid=Cj0KCQiA14WdBhD8ARIsANao07glV-XOvvrdxz9a5t9GUM4zP0U_IMncnpkpcIFTtYTZRlUSigEVKsYaAsZGEALw_wcB

Love the bike! I just think everyone calling a solo seat bike a bobber has gotten way away from a true bobber. Bobbers are simply taking what you have and taking everything off that is not necessary. Like fenders, signals, mirrors basically stripping it to bare bones and ride.

When you "attack" the front forks and sand paper them down does that remove the chrome and polish the material underneath? I would be interested because I'm not a big fan of chrome and much prefer a more raw look.
