Flying on the World's Busiest Route - Korean Air and Jin Air

I traveled to South Korea and flew between Seoul Gimpo and Jeju. There are about 155 daily flights, with over 40,000 passengers flying on this route each day which makes it the world's busiest air route.
My flight from Seoul to Jeju is operated by Jin Air B777-200. The staff at Jin Air wear jeans as the uniform. The flight time to Jeju was 50 minutes with the 390-seater B777. Once I landed in Jeju, I visited the island and tasted the famous Korean BBQ. I also did some plane-spotting in Jeju.
On the way back from Jeju to Seoul, I flew on Korean Air's new A220. It has all economy seating in a 2-3 configuration. Find out more from my video on why Seoul to Jeju is the world's busiest air route by far?

For the sake of your subscribers and viewers, you may want to create a short video letting them know of the issue at hand. Once such a video shows up, if they are smart enough, they will stop. Also, your viewers will know not to fall for such scam.

As a Korean Air maintenance technician, I'm really glad that you introduced our country's airports and airlines. In fact, 'Jin Air' is short version of 'Hanjin Airlines' which is affiliate of Hanjin Group in Korea (with Korean air).

Jin means originally 'progress'.. 進. and Hanjin(韓進) is the parent company name of Korean Air (大韓航空). Jin Air is a sibling LCC(Low Cost Carrier) of Korean Air. Because Korea's most representative alcoholic beverage soju brand, is 'Jinro眞(真)露' and its 'Jin' is from 'truth真' and every Korean adult knows that fact, so usually Koreans think of 'truth' when they hear 'Jin'. But in Chinese airports the name is shown as 真航空, So, I think that they have changed the Chinese name for marketing because every Korean thinks it is from 真 and it has more metaphysical meaning.

I spent 9 months in 1999 working in Korea. The first few months, the flights from L.A. landed at Gimpo. Then the new airport in Inchon opened and took over the international flights from Gimpo. Really happy to see that Gimpo has been modernized and is as busy as ever. I flew once per week between Seoul and Yosu, on the southern tip of Korea. Never got to Jeju (too much work). I loved my time in Korea. Wonderful people and food. Thanks for the video.

Thanks Sam, the video is amazing. I like the combination between airlines and tourism review. I live in Korea for many years and I m still impressed with the accuracy of the domestic flights. Airports are very organized and systematic, passengers are very disciplined lead necessarily to high end service quality. Great nation, great Korea. Thanks again for the beautiful moments you shared from Jeju.

1:24 I'd like to make a correction about the meaning of "JIN" AIR: JIN comes from the airline's owner company "HAN JIN" group (also the owner of Korean Air). HAN JIN means "Koreans Go Forward" (JIN is Chinese word "進" , not "眞" - in Korean sound "JIN") JIN sounds same with JEAN in Korean so that's why the staffs' uniforms are blue jeans. Anyway I hope you enjoyed much of short trip to Jeju. (Actually one of my friends, also my colleague guided you at that day!)

Unlike Japan where the major trunk domestic routes are dominated by ANA and JAL with their wide bodies, LCCs with their narrow bodies dominate the mainland to CJU routes. Which means more traffic to satisfy all those Koreans going to Jeju to get away from it all and that combination leads to the controlled chaos you see at CJU and GMP.
@danielseidenman6065

Considering that Japans population is almost 3 times larger than South Korea, you can understand why the airlines have a network of wide body aircraft for their domestic flights

On my last air travel experience from Omaha Eppley Airfield (OMA) to Las Angeles International (LAX) and back a week later, I flew on a narrow body Bombardier CRJ700. My son-in-law had made all of the arrangements and reserved "First Class" seats for me. This is hardly the extreme luxury "first class" of, say, Emirates or Singapore Airlines, just a wider basic seat with more pitch in a 1-2 configuration. Seat A1 (both directions) was simultaneous a window and an aisle seat. More seasoned fliers may not find this unusual, but I found it amusing. Also with a bit less exposure in these trying times (mid-November 2021, just before the Omicron variant reared its ugly crown).
