For those of us, for whom a 'railway journey' meant a 45/1 to St Pancras this is FANTASTIC news.

Great vlog watching a Peak back on mainline...takes me back to the days catching a train to the North from Bristol Temple Meads with Class 45 or 46 on the front 😊.

Great also to see D213 Andiania in the middle, she was the loco that my Grandfather drove on his last day before retirement from LMS in the late 60's. We recently found a photo of him leaning out of the cab on his last day, Locomotive Services Ltd were kind enough to allow my son and I to visit Andania in Crewe to recreate the photo for our next generation of the family.

It can't be in multiple, there's no blue star equipment on it? Only the ETH jumper?

@@JJthrashing And the Blue Star equipment was removed later on I can't see any Blue Star jumpers at all on the 45 or interconnected with the 40 / the 40 with the 37 in any other videos too

In the video clip passing under the bridge 45 on the rear was only engine powered up you can clearly hearing working hard must of been in multiple mode.. 40 & 37 didn’t sound to be switched on couldn’t even hear it idling..

Not personally a fan of peaks (they arent a fan of me either they always break after ive been on them) but that peak sounds like its got the 47s engine in it rather than what it was given from factory!
@MrAuriga675 ай бұрын
The Engine fitted to the Class 45 is a Sulzer 12LDA28B, the engine fitted to a class 47 is a Sulzer 12LDA28C which is am uprated version of the class 45 engine, thats why they sound similar
