Its epic if you play all the splatoons as well, in the original splatoons the super weapons were op compared to splatoon 2 , also the final battle in splatoon 1 when you compleate it as agent 3 you feel all powerfull because its an endurace battle . The callback to the roots are always welcome.

The good thing about splatoon is that in each game you are another character (another me, to be clear), for example in the octo expansion when you see agent 3 saving 8 and cuttlefish you're sure to say "look, that's me." Kay if anyone has time, watch the final cutscene in s3 SPECIFICALLY when deep cut shows up. They straight up forgot to put captain 3 in there. I kid you not. You can see master mega clip through their hat and presumably their clothes. Then when Frye’s Eel’s show up you can see their hate, but nothing else. Not even Callie or Marie. THE WORST INSTANCE is when Callie is jumping up and down after the Eels. You see captain’s gear but… if you zoom in, there’s… there’s literally no model.

They were promoted to Captain, so Agent 3 takes Craig's hat and customized it to their Hero Headset and Craig's tattered cloth. Though I do hope in future updates we can wear Captain 3's new clothes, and their previous outfit from Octo Expansion that has the cape.

The only problem I have with Agent 3/the Captain is the fact they dont speak. This is a problem I have with the other protagonists, too. Now, there's nothing wrong with having a silent, blank-slate protagonist, just that it is just established that they have a slight bit of personalities, however small. I just kinda wish some characters had different levels of active speaking roles that vary on what kind of a person they are. Agent 3, especially in the 3rd game couldve had a prominent speaking role and it would add to theor character development; they start out quiet as they dont like to talk, but slowly learn to take a more vocal role. I mean, its clear that they CAN speak, based on Marie's "dialougue" of her "quoting the Captain." While it is a funny gag, it still is very dumb to me. Its basically the "Does this chattering animal speak for you?" meme and its dumb. I honestly really wished they were an active helper in New Agent 3's journey in Splatoon 3. And I dont think its that hard to give them a chat box and voice considering they do it literally any other character thats not a, or previously was, a playable character. Its just a missed opportunity in my eyes 😒
