N47N BMW 318d, 2011 timing chain noise problem. Replace chains, guides and tensioners ASAP!!!

Video demonstrates chain noise on Cold start of N47N BMW 318d, 2011.
There is no noise when reving, as the older N47 does when you can decide that your chains are at wear limit, but newer N47N produces the noise at COLD start only, due to newer 24mm tensioner (older N47 has 27mm tensioner on the block)
Newer N47N engine is starting from december 2010, but you can always check if your engine is equiped with newer 24mm tensioner.

Should you change the chain if you only can hear it for like 5 seconds when cold starts?

Same noise from my 11/2013 before I had chain kit replaced.

on my engine the same, but inly 1-2 secs, alsos the shuffling noise on >1500rpm. 338000km. Gonna replace asap)

Yeah. You must! After replacement engine sounds so soft and like it isn't yours... :)

I like this engine, but chains should be checked all the time.
