That's the best layout I've ever seen on a Nordhavn. No cabin has been compromised. In this sense, it's even better than the N86. I have to say Nordhavn has always on the way of evolution.

I would like to see the master bedroom instead of another saloon behind the wheelhouse as kind of separate deck for owner with bathroom and some lounge furniture. When there are guests aboard just a place to get some peace from everybody with best view.

Beautiful joinery, superb craftsmanship by all your employees. That kind of quality comes from ownership in the process, and pride in workmanship, and happy employees. It is a testament to how you lead your people and manage your process. It even comes with its own bottle of loctite!

It's probably not happening. Most of the nordhavns are shipped to America. Even without the pandemic, Nick wouldn' t cross the ocean just for one boat... To be honest, I'd rather see him review the N41. It's more possible that one of these gorgeous production boats get to England.

Speaking of Soloing... What is the largest you'd feel comfortable "soloing" in? Is it reasonable to think a couple in their 50's could do an Altantic crossing in say a N41?

There’s much improvement that NH needs to do. BBQ should not be under the white overhead, that’s only going to be stained black by the BBQ smoke (the worsts place for it, a big cleaning job). Second the blue LEDs are dated from the 1990s, you need soft white (that would match the rest of all the lights. Third and MOST IMPORTANT you need to LABEL 🏷 ALL wires and pipes (like Princess and Sunseeker etc). Fourth the bathrooms (heads) countertops are also dated. You need to get a designer that shows more European influences that match the beautiful woodwork. Too bad NH doesn’t keep up to the European boats that show nicer. NH should not underestimate the forward elegance that can be had with it’s beautiful woodwork

I though the N80 had 3 guest cabin in the lower deck. I am only seeing two (2) in this video. Not sure but what is described as the Aft-guess cabin in the renderings on the Nordhavn web page is missing in this walk through.????

To any Nordhavn rep......Since the 76ft can be set up for a 2 person operation, will the 80ft be able to do the same? It is after all just 4 more feet.

@@Ozmy That may be your take on it but I do not think you are a rep for Nordhavn. There is a lot to consider as they or insurance industry and even ports of call may block you as they may not feel a boat that size can be handled by 2 people. I am one to believe that 2 people could safely operate a 100ft boat as I have been on a 93ft that was run by 2 people with no problems. They can make some large boats easy for couples but the rest of the industry(insurance, marinas) are not very keen on bigger being run by less and that is something I have much experience in.

@@Benglator1 Well , that's what I heard from them , they wanted to build her something more updated and bigger with the same handling requirements as the N76. I know there's more complicated than that , even for a 50 footer some owners need more crew than his couple. Jeje All depends ... Have a great Year !

Is this a stretched 76 or a all new hull? If it is a streched 76 where was the length increase or plug if it was an airplane added? Will be a nice boat. Thank you.

It's a new hull deisned from the keel up. As I check the specs, it's not too much longer than the 76 but a lot wider. So I guess this is the reason it can move portside walkway to the main deck so as to expand the upper deck solon to full beam. Very interesting layout.

Why do Nordhavns have to be built in China? I don't understand that. I would pay more for a yacht built in the USA, and to be able to watch it being built (to make sure nothing is being skimped on).

Hi Rick, the skill set there is generational. 3-4 generations deep of yacht craftsmen. Not saying we don’t have that here but cost wise even Christensen Shipyards closed in Washington due to overhead. While it would be great to pay everyone $20-$45 an hour. Your cost per foot would be on a giga yacht cost level. Well over $1 million per foot. Not sustainable for a business unless you have government contracts lol. In this situation building in China and Taiwan everyone makes a great living, Nordhavn gets a quality dependable yard to make Exploring Yachts for years to come. The customer gets more options and quality in a boat than they more than likely would in the states. Insurance Wages Lawsuits and Fixed Cost in the States are outrageous compared to other countries.
