Na'aritzkho (Kedusha for the Mussaf of Shabbat) by Avraham Dunajewski (1877) is one of my most favorite synagogue compositions. While I've conducted and sung this music so many times at synagogues all over the world, this performance is special because it presents the piece in its original form, highlighting varied vocal ensembles: solos, duets, and choir against a small group of soloists. Dunajewski must have felt so inspired by this text, as if he himself were standing at the throne of God, surrounded by angels singing the words 'Holy, Holy, Holy' to each other. I hope it inspires you too!
