TSM 2016 was the closest, if only Doublelift didn't E up on Lucian and get crowned by Crown's Viktor, they would of taken Baron and beat Samsung to advance into the quarterfinals. And thus since Samsung went to the actual finals that year, the head cannon here is that TSM would be able to as well.

I get this feeling that nrg winning against G2 was NAs 2019 msi, one in a million that will probably not repeat. And this goes for both NA and EU, i think PCS is closer to those two in skill than EU or NA to KR or CN. Would not be suprised if PCS takes a win off of those regions in this years MSI.

NA will never win worlds. The idea that we could win with a tiny player base and pros that don't try as hard as the other regions is pure delusion. The culture and geography of NA ensure we can never be good at any eSport. You may find an outlier player here or there that can perform in a 1v1 game, but as a whole we do not have the conditions to consistently produce and develop world class talent.

When was the last time NA took a game against an Eastern team - not a Bo5, not a Bo3 not even a Bo1..a game! 2023 was NA's best year in years - they made quarters at worlds - but they didn't win a single game vs the east last time would be MSI '22.. ONE game against T1 in groups where T1 had already advanced..one game in 2 years

Soloq feels that way, time zones ensuring you get 5 people playing at random times of day from 12 AM-8PM and then ensuring random players from other regions in every game while you’re exhausted and it’s 9 AM in China

I actually completely disagree with 2:55 . NA does not have the fucked up schedule it is LCK and LPL that do. In NA you look at around 8h of scrims 6 days a week + most of you pro's will play solo queue in off time but in the eastern regions most pros are legit grinding league from 1 to 4 am, 15 hours every day on stopping to eat and rewatch vods, this is also 7 days a week. Like you can look this up, most of the best players have schedules like this. None of them have an ounce of time outside of league, and if they do they are probably spending it rewatching their own VODs to improve. Yes you get results from this but only a select few like Faker can last more than 2-3 years before their brain and energy are completely fried. Thats why players have such short careers in the East. you should work to live not live to work
@moestuff4787
@moestuff4787 9 ай бұрын
The real difference isnt the amount of time practicing and how tight the schedules are. Its just the mental. Eastern teams are committed like real athletes would be, NA still just feels like kids who play video games. Even when they are putting in the hours I just never feel like anyone in the region is taking it seriously. Plus the coaching staff in NA just arent good and arent creative in the slightest

oh god not this argument again "if you want to be better at something you should practice it a lot less!"
@moestuff4787
@moestuff4787 9 ай бұрын
@@ultratronger Did you even read my comment? I literally point out the fact that practicing more like LCK players do gets them better results. My point is not about league at all, its about the players and their lives. I guarantee it feels awful coming off 3 years of absolute grinding 15 hours a day just to finally be dropped by your team because theirs a younger 18 year old player that can do it better now because youve completely devoted your life and fried your brain to league of legends. The standard should not be set here, NA pros are already putting in extra hours. They do 6 days a week for 8 hours + vod review and solo queue on top of that. Theres just a huge difference between putting in those kind of extra hours vs playing from 1pm to 4 am everyday.

@@moestuff4787 okay then, enjoy losing i guess, maybe they also lose on purpose so they play less games and have more time to do anything other than play the game they're employed to play? That would explain why they lost every single game in worlds
@moestuff4787
@moestuff4787 9 ай бұрын
@@ultratronger Its just a toxic environment. LCK is completely taking over their player's brains and lives to enhance performance. Look at other sports, no other pro athlete will be devoting more than 8 hours everyday to training. It should not be expected to be devoting 15 hours every single day. The only difference is with real sports the body literally cannot keep up with more than 8 hours. If there was a documentary done on korean pro-gamers after their 3 year career you'd see the extent of the negative effects. Yes you do have a select few players who do still play well after the 3 year mark but those are very special cases, like faker. Look obviously this is just my opinion, I dont have a "documentary" to back up my argument. But do you really think it should be allowed/"made a standard out of" destroying athletes health to bring about success? No.
