The first time I saw Sir Warrior was in 1994 at Hilman's fathers' buriel in Akpim, My village. Hilman invited him to play his music. I was in secondary school then, as village children, we all gathered around peeping to see him life. His handsomeness shocked me. I said to my self that when I grew up, I will find him and ask him to come and marry me without paying bride price... Just, let me be his wife and contemplate his beauty. Little do I know that God has something else in mind for me...taking me to Rome to be a rev. Sr. Today Dee king Hilman and Sir Warrior has gone to answer the Divine call. There are at least 4 percussion lines, a massive bass pounding, layered above are two eloquent rhythm guitars . The pause at 12 minutes where the traditional drums take front stage and reset the percussive control are purely African. Then at 17 minutes, the bridge and the whistles.
