I just drank my first Hiyo (watermelon lime). It is light and refreshing. I don’t feel a ‘float.’ I feel relaxed, but it’s 10:30 on a Saturday night and I’d probably be feeling ‘chill’ anyhow. It’s a refreshing light beverage.

Yeah that makes sense. It’s been over a year since I made this videos and I can’t say I feel the float every time. A “float” feeling is more environment driven for me it seems with the herbal elixir drinks nowadays.

Hi, for someone who’s quitting alcohol, or already did and wants to get into non alcoholic beverages, with the Hiyo, how many do you think you would need to drink to feel the runners high? How long does it last? Out of the beer , wine , liquor, which one has the most feeling of not getting messed up but getting like a way good buzz ? What are you top recommendations for non alcoholic beverages?

Hello! For me probably two or three in a social setting. Lasts for a little while but hard to say though. NA beer, liquor, and wine do not give any sort of buzz. The social elixirs like hiyo, kin, and three spirit do. I can make many recommendations but they would differ depending on what the person is looking for. I’d say all can be good replacement for the ritual of the occasion. Say a beer in yard or with friends, glass of wine with dinner or after work, NA cocktail at a gathering. All work for the ritual of an occasion. The elixirs take it a step further as they are a bit more complex so you can enjoy the complexity of the drink, while providing mood boosting properties. Lastly, I’ll say the most buzz I’ve found with a non alcoholic drink is kava and kratom. I don’t have any videos on this yet, but these are roots blended into drinks that you can typically find at a kava bar. They can differ in taste, but the kava bartenders typically mix them up well. They give the most buzzy feeling of NA drinks I’ve come across yet. That said, hiyo and three spirit are my personal favorites.

Thank you so much for this! I ordered Hiyo and three spirits and I’m going to give it a try! But I definitely want something to enjoy with friends at a gathering and I’m Hispanic so it gets kinda crazy ! Would you say the ones I ordered are good for that type of event? (:

Yeah! They are all great for social gatherings. The hiyo are kind of like NA whiteclaws, where they won’t get you drunk but will help loosen you up a bit. Three Spirit are great as well. If you ordered a box of all three, they’ll give you some cocktail recipes. The livener with seltzer or tonic is great to start with, the social elixir is great with ginger beer and a couple drinks of that is a nice vibe, then finishing the night with the night cap either alone or with some bitters is fantastic to sip on and wind down. For reference, hiyo is a social elixer so easy to swap in and out with the three spirit social elixir. All that said, it’s not alcohol so don’t expect to feel drunk. But hope you all enjoy!

Hey! Thanks for the kind words! You won’t get fucked up. However, there is a progression to feeling with each can like there is with alcohol. I actually did drink those 3 after the video was done and I was personally all set after the second. I put down alcohol a little over a year ago and I enjoy these as a replacement (cost aside because they’re currently more expensive than alcohol). I also enjoy Three Spirit as well. You might check those out as well and of course I have videos on all 3 of those too. Best I can explain these is like a runners high when your blood is pumping and you get a bit of a euphoric sensation in your head. Hope this helps!

Lol at the comment!! I’m 30, little over 5 years sober. On my second hiyo now and I’m getting a head change. Runners high is definitely a good way to put it. Just a noticeably better mood.

Yeah I think this is a great substitute for those that want to stop drinking but it is pricey I just looked it up 40 bucks for just the case but he said that there's three Spirits you guys check that out but as for me I'm going to continue drinking until I have to quit or maybe never😮 just playing stay sober you guys be safe😊❤

Yeah buzz is a generous word depending on one’s tolerance level and other factors but I agree they are refreshing!

So, I have to follow up on these as well, these all tasted great, def liked the blackberry the best however I enjoyed all three. Not really "floating" with them...just a subtle uptick in mood. Overall, I like these alot.

You won’t get messed up drinking hiyo. Might “feel the float” depending on your sensitivity to it after a couple, but you won’t get messed up on hiyo.

Different. The best way I can describe it is like a runners high. For me that means when I go for a quick jog, get my blood flowing, and am left with a bit of a buzz…a feel good buzz. I suppose that’s why hiyo calls it a “float”. Hopefully that helps.
