Showing some love to the page bro! Definitely everything stated in this is pretty spot on. I became a fan of the NSX back roughly around the same time. As I learned more about it coming from what the acronym means, the HNX prototype, etc. it just made me truly appreciate how well it’s engineered. Favorite years are the ‘99 Type Zero and ‘01 jdm rather than USDM.Awesome vid man!

Good video. Although it was pointed out early in the video, viewers may have missed it later on when pointing out the differences, but assuming its oem glass, the NA1 and NA2 are on the windshield VIN plate.

The explanations did not need to be so convoluted. NA1 and NA2 strictly refer to the engine displacements regardless of model years. NA1 is 3.0 and NA2 is 3.2.

1:44 Genton Beorge repreesent more NSX community than you, the anomaly is use a NSX for destroy his handling with stupid tuning low rider with massive wheels and ridiculous camber. Im a NSX owner, and i know the rest of NSX and owners of my country, nobody did that think to his NSX. We love the handling, ride quality, the engineering..., we are not tuning kids. Regardless, I wouldn't say that ownership of an NSX should be revoked for anyone, however you think, private property is sacred, even for people who trash their NSXs.

I can understand why Acura produced automatic NSX's (for the North American market) but I have no idea why Japan also did them for the Honda NSX's. Anyway, I wouldn't mind a video on the differences between a Type S NSX and a Type S Zero NSX.

8:38 that section got me confused, since the overall curb weight did increase a bit for the 1997 na2 iirc (although it was faster anyway given the upgrades) EDIT: was on the wrong minute, originally it was set on 9:38 which doesnt make sense given i am not talking about the zanardi

He's referring to the coupe vs. targa top. The targa is heavier, which is why the 94-96 targas are the least desirable - heaviest version of the car with the 3.0

Instead of pointing out the negative stuffs that guy’s said, focus on making your contents more entertaining. Although, the information is very educational. Your videos is like a history class; boring and repetitive. Try to make your video more vibrant and different! You might get more views by doing so!

Same case as s2000. European version "AP2" should be called AP1 instead because it still have F20c, compared to JDM and USDM version that have newer F22c engine.
@sandromartins20
@sandromartins20 2 жыл бұрын
I disagree because the EDM AP2 still has all the upgrades to the chassis, suspension, etc. but the engine is kept the same due to tax regulations in most EU countries.

Over 10 minutes to say 6 speed manual = NA2 (made 1997-2005), 5MT & all Autos = NA1? Wasted too much time with the callout hypocrisy. You don't represent NSX owners any more than Benson, but he's a lot closer.

Absolutely No mention at all what the NA1 & 2 or NC1 letters stand for. NA means naturally aspirated 1 stands for the first gen 3 litre 2 stands for the sec gen 3.2 litr

NC 1 stands for naturally charged (turbo) first gen engine

The NA vs NC thing sounds like a coincidence at best. I have not once heard the term "naturally charged" since the "natural" in NA specifically means you're not using anything to force air. Honda pretty much always uses two letters and a number for their chassis codes, even their bikes are similar with two letters and two numbers. The most direct comparison in this case is the DA to DC Integras. If you have a source for this I'd like to see it and I'll eat my words

What? I don't remember that being saod anywhere. It's just a coincidence. Naturally charged? Dafuq does that even mean

I read about the body panels being made out of a different aluminum alloy on the NA2. Do you know any more about this? Was it the roof and quarter panels as well?
@ngoansx

All I know is "New aluminum alloy in selected body areas to reduce weight and increase rigidity" for 1997.

So NA1s are 1990-1997 model years (including 1990-2005 automatics) and NA2s are 1997-2005 model years?
@Harmonic14
@Harmonic14 2 жыл бұрын
In most cases. Just think of it in terms of the engine the car has and you'll always get it right.
@timturkstra500
@timturkstra500 2 жыл бұрын
No. NA1 is 1991-1996 with manual tranny. 1997 brought the 3.2 l NA2, so 1997-2005 Manual is NA2. All Autos are NA1. Basically, The NA1&2 designation is only the engine, 3.0 vs. 3.2, and does NOT allow you to order parts & determine compatibility, not even engine parts. For example there are different starters for 1991-1993 & 1994-1996. A starter for a 1991 NA1 won't fit a 1995 NA1.
