This is really a special news to Dr. Raj fans, 'Nadamaya' song from the movie 'Jeevana chaithra' that song's concept & composed by Dr.Rajkumar. really??? yes its true. All the people of karnataka knows that. Dr. Raj is a Greatest Actor & singer, but you dont know he was also a music composer !! no doubt..Dr. Raj only composed that 'Nadamaya' a pure Carntic classical song based on very dignified, difficult Raaga 'Thodi', at the end of the song there is some swara prasthaana & Orchestraisation done by Music Director M Ranga rao. Actually in 1984, director Singitham Srinivasarao made a story & Script on Akbar & Thansen. It's a musical subject. The film title was 'Amruthvarshini'. Till 15-20 days shooting also was done. Meanwhile Dr.Rajkumar felt that, the Script is very poor & dull, Dr.Raj told to Director, Take some time to do a perfect script, he took but was not satisfied. Later cancelled this project. For this Film Dr.Raj was made this composition. Dr.Rajkumar was a wonderful actor cum wonderful strong trained singer from childhood. he knew Carnatic & Hindhusthaani classical music very well. His father Singanalluru Puttaswamaiah also a good Singer & Actor, as well as Guru to his son. Dr. Raj trained under Maestro Krishna shasthry, Appaji gowda ( this Appaji gowda was Dr.Raj's Wife Parvathamma's Father), Paramashivaiah (Harmonium Trainer to Dr. Raj) When 'Jeevana chaithra' film's script work was going on in 1991, Dr.Raj's Younger brother SP Varadaraj remembered & felt that 'Naadamaya' song we could place to this movie, Varadaraj told to Director Dore-Bhagwan, that was group discussion there Dr. Raj, Chi. Udayashankar were also present. Dr.Raj get interested on that song, he started to creat a concept himself. Concept is.., In this 'Jeevana chaithra' movie Hero was went for 'Theertha yaathra' to northern india, himalaya & other places, there he accidentally got unconscious by health issues. After some time he get up by listening sounds of Breeze, Birds, Running Water, other nature's sounds, he inspired from that sounds spontaneously he start to sing. this is the concept made by Dr.Rajkumar himself for this 'Jeevana chaithra' movie. For this movie Music Director was Upendra kumar. He was also great classical trained, one of the best music Director of KFI. But he has not done any changes to this song because Dr.Rajkumar, SP Varadaraj told him to no need any enhancement, once again Dr.Rajkumar sang this song, Upendra kumar was recorded of 1991 technology style that's it. For this song in 1992 Dr.Rajkumar was got National award as Best play back singer is really a Record, a superstar Actor who is also got Best singer award, No one in the World of cinema industry, A legendary Actor cum Singer like our Dr.Rajkumar Annavru... is any body ????..No one.
