@@saltythehooligan9439 i do agree. that does make it better as a item but stronger passives are almost the reason why people buy items. remove that and keep the slow and the ap item would still be better. too many items are situational and many champions in this game have very specific kits. black cleaver gives some health, damage, and haste but whats good is the passive, yet ldr(champions that have the attack speed to get procs faster, have a item with 40% flat instead of stacking damage.)

Ad champs could deal some one to be below 50 faster than most of the ap champs that needs it (execluding mord/ brand ) the rest will just struggle to make anyone less than 50% hp

Serylda’s wasn’t nerfed, it was changed In exchange for getting lethality and a passive that can exceed its old %pen value it only slows enemies below 50%, that’s nit a nerf, that’s power neutral at worst and arguably a buff to its intended users

I play Mordekaiser so Im kinda hapy rylais its the same, but also I play Zed and I get why they did that to seryldas, with lethality being now full flat armon pen is easier for assasins to oneshot squishies and it would be broken as hell to get oneshoted and also cant move, also for that now serylda its just an assasin item, still I think rylais need a nerf for range champs, cut the slow in half for them or even more and just give tem 10 percent slow

I don't think so, since ap champs can proc it continuously with dot items like Liandry's, inbuilt DOT's or overall spells like Aurelion's vomit. AD champs tend to not have those AND need to actually stay near their target. Yea the stats they give are a bit unbalanced in comparison, but they passive is why most people buy these items anyways.

because most ad champions that used serylda's already had tons of burst damage and such, majority if not all of ap champions that use rilay's are burn dmg mages besides obviously brand that has some burst thanks to his passive it's true that it's essentialy the same, and that's something i agree with, but the users are totally different. you may had an aatrox and a zed use serylda, one being a bruiser and the other being an assassin, but you couldn't have a, say, syndra with rilay's because it gives so little value to her since she has no tick-based damage and is all burst but you could have someone like mord, morgana or seraphine because they all do have some kind of tick-based damage also, serylda users were champions that could walk up to you, rilay's is used for the ones that are considered trolling when staying in melee range xd

what are you talking about? cry is 600g less, it offers a better slow, and also offers more ap comparably than the ad and lethality you gain from grudge. I can also say with cry you can build first item and get it's value all in one while grudge you literally have to build it up to get the most out of it.

Rylai is an item who only works on certain champs, since most mages already have either a better slow or hard cc, as a matter of fact, most times you dont even need to build rylais. If nerfed, no mage would buy it. If they changed Seryldas to be an AD Rylais, giving basically the same stats and passive, Hp and Ad only, no bruiser would buy it as well.
