Bought one of this on black friday for my daughter, rooted the device (which adds all google apps) and now a I have a $139 Nexus 7 for kids . Really nice tablet..

Also the screen on this one seems way better then the first Nabi. I can't agree that the N7 and this are comparable, build quality is about the same, but features are completely different. I contemplated getting my kids a regular Android tablet but was worried about them doing things I didn't want them to do on the tablet, so then I found the Nabi and it's a much better option.

Actually, it's pretty similar to the Nexus 7, except the screen. He was wrong when he said it uses the Tegra 2, it's actually a Tegra 3. Also the Nexus 7 has no optimizations for kids at all, where as the Nabi is completely designed around that. I got both of my kids the first Nabi and it's a very nice device and much better then all the cheap ass android tablets, I think I'll be upgrading them to the Nabi 2 shortly.

Hi, thanks for the informative review. Just one dumb question from this noob parent: How do I allow access to sites like KZbin. My son has a few songs and videos that he is accustomed to watching and I would be disappointed if this seemingly innovative device will not allow him that.

The only way i know how is by downloading droid market place (google play) to the nabi2. Then i downloaded the app. To learn how, search for how to root google play for nabi2. Hope it helps.

It does not come with the nabi2. To learn how to download google play, search Root Nabi 2 Tablet with Access to Play Store. Hope it helps.
