@Alex Youtaite If a song sounds similar to another song, you can get copyright issues (I think), but so many Jewish songs sound alike (especially kumzitz songs), that I think it's become the norm to sound alike (also, Jews are nice people).

There's covers that get millions of views, the only difference is that both demographics are the same, they focus on people who know the original and was a cool or funny twist/cover/version/parody. The parody just makes the original more popular. In this case though they are straight out claiming to be their own song and passing it off to a completely DIFFERENT demographic. I do know of a parody that got taken down with millions of views. But it doesn't really matter since people keep uploading it, welcome to the internet and the original artist doesn't really have time to chase down every re-upload, he's too busy being rich.

Nachas should of given credit to the ORIGINAL non-jewish song. It's also very frustrating to think you are listening to a frum song and then you realize it's a non-jewish parody/cover. Why couldn't they been more upfront about that and credit the original?

@Sam Kornblau I don't know why you assume I don't know music. Have you ever looked at the over 100 Jewish music singers/bands/groups that I'm subscribed to? I know that doesn't prove how much music I know, but I know lots of Jewish, frum singers, that most people have never heard of (and that are good).
