For many of us, The K-Swiss Classic was the go to sneaker in middle school and high school but did you know that it was K-Swiss's only sneaker model for over two decades!? The origins of this sneaker start with in the 1960s' two Swiss immigrants moving to Los Angeles to fulfill their dream of starting a tennis shoe company. In ‘89, shoe stores in Detroit were phasing out the K-Swiss canvas style. I bought a pair & loved the sneakers. Come ‘90, it was the hot shoe for the summer. Sort of like how white AF1’s are now.

I just recently found you channel and have been watching all your videos. While not a sneaker head myself I find all these videos super interesting. I’ll always remember saving up my allowance for a whole year to get my first pair of k-Swiss in 7th grade to fit in with all the other cool kids in my middle school. However I couldn’t afford the pairs everyone else was rocking and ended up getting some clearance model that didn’t have the same silhouette but it didn’t matter that much to me. I felt like a million bucks wearing those bright white shoes to school every day. Damn. Thanks for the nostalgic trip you guys. Love the channel.

Teachers at my high school would help buy shoes for students who couldn't afford new ones and we went to a shoe store and I picked out a pink pair of these because my sister used to have a few pairs of them and thought they looked nice and were well, pink. The only shoes I've ever had that never fell apart, chip crease or lost it's shape and I wore and washed them CONSTANTLY. I don't know what happened to them but I miss them.

My dad really like this brand so when I was young 6 or 7 I had a K-swiss sneaker and it was my favorite because it was unique and everyone would be like "yow what brand is that?" Or "is that a premium brand sneaker" and I really loved it, it's design was unique and it gave the same comfort and feel as compare to the Nike sneakers I have at the time so yeah thank you for making a video for this brand, I hope many more people will watch your videos because it is very educational. The only issue I got with the shoes is how hard to clean it when it was stained.

Good video. You friend was right about the dress back in those days except you wouldn’t rock K-Swiss with carpenter jeans or pants maybe cargos. I remember K-Swiss being a lowkey sneaker not a sneaker you would wear everyday. I never owned a pair.

I had some k Swiss classics in the late 90s with like fake carbon fibre stripes. Those were brilliant shoes and looked awesome!

K-Swiss Classics were an indestructible shoe - lasted forever. Clean looks, quality materials and craftmanship. As a student, you could buy a pair as a freshman and graduate with them after 4 years of daily wear and abuse. I like the Si-18's. Had a pair in the 90's and got another pair about 5 years ago for nostalgia. The PU midsole makes the shoe heavy, but it has a real nice ride. When you break them in they fit like a glove.
