I was thinking about buying the controller so before buying i decided to watch reviews and gather more info, probably watched 5-6 videos and everbody talked about how good the design is, all the little hardware customizations and overall cosmetics of the controller. Then i came across your video and it blew my mind. The simplicty of your discourse, the way you explain ever aspect of the software (and it is the soul of the controller, otherwise it is just another pretty controller) how it affects gaming etc. Then checked the comments to see the overall reaction and you blew my mind once again, your every answer with patience, trying to figure out the problem, even trying someone elses setting to understand the problem. Great video! The only one I've found that systematically breaks down important aspects about the controller, Good job man and keep it up! I have a couple questions that I hope you can answer and that I hope haven't been asked already! 1 - Do the Nacon software settings override the in-game controller settings? (for example, the acceleration in Red Dead Redemption 2 on PS4 I find horrible. If I set an aggressive response curve via the Nacon computer software, will this override the base acceleration in the game?) 2 - Can a person connect the controller to their PS4 wirelessly and at the same time have a wired connection to their PC enabling them to modify profiles in real time and see the effects as they play? Keep up the good work!

First of all, wow...many thanks mate for these kind words. Still consider myself a starting channel and try to improve daily. Can not do it without you guys reaching out. Means a lot to me! To accomodate your questions: 1.) the settings in the game is the starting point. Every game has a feel and settings, right? so start the game, play with it and you will feel what needs adjustment and how much. Start up the software , manipulate as you like...and game on. But - never use the settings in the game anymore, they are the baseline. Alter the base, means altering the settings entirely. 2.) Short - no. the controller can only connect to one device at the time. Either play or connect to the software. However, you can map buttons to the S-buttons on the fly while gaming. So no adjustment in deathzones etc, but yes you can map while gaming! Hope this help mate, let me know. GAme on, stay safe and mnay thanks!

Great video , my question is can you set up macros like you could with the original nacon controller. Where you could use directions with buttons like a (down forward triangle) or does this controller only allow for one button mapping like ( X circle tri) etc.

QUESTION! I have this but when i plug in my controller, the software opens, recognizes the controller, and lets me go to the menus but does NOT allow me to move any sliders, remap any buttons, or change anything...I've reinstalled the software, tried different cables and USB ports. james many thanks for reaching out. You have encountered a problem that a lot of people go through... and in all fairness it is not really clear. The 4 default profiles you get when starting up the software for the first time can not be altered!! You need to create a new one. Just click on the 3 dots, rename it and boom.... you are good to go. I know what's happening! The first step is: Change the name of the profile (01,02,03,04). If you don't change the name you can't asign the configuration.

Restday Gaming hi, thanks for the reply. I am not playing APEX a lot and when I do, I use the settings I created for Rainbow 6... the reaction time and placement of the buttons on the back work fine for me.... so in essence, it is up 2 your own liking on the settings ;)

damien h many thanks for the kind words! I have mapped triangle and circle to the right trigger buttons (right hand) and square and X to the left buttons (left hand). Nothing major or special, but it speeds up reload, prone etc while not taking my hands of buttons etc

Old but still gold mate ;) mine works fine still. Never had any issues with hardware. Never. I have it for years now. No stickdrift, no breakdowns, nothing. Also the software and the connections with the dongle never let me down.

So, you can not use the software? Lets check the steps: 1. Connect controller with cable to pc 2. Turn on pc and controller 3. On the back of controller put it on WIRED and PS4 ADVANCED modus. Both need to be done 4. Start software … When you have done that, you need to create a NEW profile. The ones you see are default and can not be changed. To create a new one, just click on the pencil to give it a new name. When it has a new name, you will be able to program the buttons, the deathzone etc When done press save and boom … you good to go.

When I use my headset it makes like a static noise for everyone else in the party except me. Ive tried unplugging and adjusting mic settings but its always making this noise when my headset is plugged to this specific controller only. Is there a fix or is it just a problem? BananaLlama In al fairness, the only issue with this controller is the audio when using a mini jack plugged into the controller. You are absolutely right.. the only “fix” is to start using a wireless headphone. Then the audio will go directly to a USB dongel on your ps4 and not via the controller. My sincere apologies fot not addressing this, but I tested the controller with a wireless headphone system. So in short: the audio via mini Jack is not great. Only way to fix it is using a wireless headphone.

Kenny Peres you should be able to do it. But that is an educated quests, for I have never done it. I know the other model(s) can, so that is the reason for my guess ;) I am currently traveling in the US, so I am unable to check for you now. Good question. There are zero reports on that, but an educated guess would say that not more then a firmware update on the controller is needed. So a matter of time I guess ;)

Not sure what you mean mate. Jumping, crouching, ADS, fire, all in the same spot for Xbox and PS4. The only difference is that on screen a reference is made to the Xbox buttons, but the Nacon has the ps buttons on the controller

Haha funny. Never checked that because the back buttons are the prime reason to buy one I most cases. My educated guess is, no.... you might be able to map no buttons to it. That means it has no command behind it. I guess.

@@itsqelqs1766 well please do… because I am not really sure what you mean. In the software of the controller you should be able to map the buttons. But that is limited and the touchpad is not included. I do fail to understand how he did it, because on pc the game thinks you are using a Xbox controller, the layout of the nacon is ofcourse a PlayStation one. So the only guess would be to adjust Button mapping in the game menu itself, but that does refer to Xbox layout… Please show me the link and let me check if I can do anything

Simple question, but a good question ;) in essence nowhere…. Unfortunately. The only way to see it, is to plug it in (usb directly when playing or power when not playing) and you will the 4 lights on the front glowing. Each light is 25%. It will last for hours when fully charged so I never ran out of battery when wireless, but I do charge after every session just to be sure.

What?! Vertical movement in a game not possible???? That’s not a software issue, but a hardware issue. If your controller does not allow you to move in all directions, you need to go back to the store mate

Selph Made 1. Check if you downloaded the right software for the right controller 2. Connect via USB cable 3. Put controller in the right modus (I believe Ps4 advance) and in wired modus ... it should work

Movement6 So wanted to use this to play Overwatch. In the game there are different zones for different purposes. Zone is slow and then once you get outside of a certain zone on the stick the speed in which the stick moves your character speeds up it’s two different speeds in two different zones for the title sticks. The metal pieces for the thumbsticks do not adjust the height. they adjust the range of motion for each thumbstick.

Aon Basem then it is charged. Open the software, set it to wired mode and PS4 advance and make adjustments. Disconnect the cable and use the dongle. If that does not work, your controller is broken

To the software mate. When you bought the controller, register your product as explained in the doc. Once done, you can download the software. Connect the controller with your pc, start the software and adjust ;)

How do you connect the controller with your PS4 via the USB Bluetooth dongle?!

Put the dongle in your ps4. Hold the button on the dongle until it starts flashing, hold the ps button until the controller turns on. Now it will start searching. Make sure the controller is on wireless and ps modus (NOT ps advance)

Hey! So @10:56 you start mapping the buttons right? I just got the controller today, and I am doing exactly this. I delete the mapping for all 4 buttons. I click on it so it becomes blue. I then press any of the four buttons on my controller (triangle, square, etc.), but nothing happens. Do you have any idea why this occurs? I tried: - Every button of my controller but the input just stays blue, and the button input is not given / mapped. - Updating each type of software, but for each it says I have the latest already.

MITSJL hi mate - quick question, did you create a new profile or did you use any of the 4 standard ones that are there when you open the software for the first time? You can not alter the default profiles. To create a new one, just delete the name, give it any name you like, press save... go in that profiel and do you mapping ;)

I pressed save, unplugged the controller from my pc, went back to connect it to my PS4, but I encounter another issue: the button set up remains the same as it was when I first launched it: S1: Cross S2: (nothing) S3: Circle S4: Circle This controller was bought by someone from the same store before me, and was returned by that person, so I assume that's why it has these settings. MITSJL another question ;) you have 4 profiles, when you connect the controller to the PS4 make sure you select the profile you saved the mapping to. Did you do that? And make sure the controller is ( I believe ) ps4 advance modus to select your desired profile you saved the mapping 2

The last issue that I have now is that I set this for profile 1: S1 = circle S2 = square S3 = cross S4 = triangle However in game this is what I'm getting from profile 1: S1 = cross S2 = triangle S3 = circle S4 = square Any idea? :P Lol the issues just keep piling up, but we're getting there! xD Thanks so much for being patient with me btw lol

Hi first off, when connecting the controller to the PC to use the Nacon companion software you say the controller should be plugged in via USB, in setting #2 and in "wireless" mode. All the instructions I've read said it should be in "wired" mode. I downloaded the software on my PC and my computer recognizes the controller as a usable device, however; the software does not recognize the controller is plugged in. Has anyone had this issue? I've seen several posts of people experiencing this issue and no solutions, no videos on YT talk about it and the customer support for Nacon is nearly impossible to reach. I'm contemplating replacing my c40 with this controller but at this point can't get it to program. Any suggestions are appreciated!

Hi mate - if I have mixed wired and wireless up, my sincere apologies of course. The way you describe is indeed the way to connect to the software. Mode 2 is ps4advance modus, wired and then turn the controller on... start the software and it should work.

Jacobite for sure I would recommend my new friend ;) i am using it myself for the game. The settings are hard to recommend, mainly because everyone has different wishes, feelings etc.. I keep getting "activate profiles" error when trying to program buttons. I have deleted all previous profiles and created a new one. Also, when trying to update firmware the software says that it doesn't detect the controller even though it detects buttons when trying to reprogram. Thoughts?

@@movement6671 I figured it out! I had already tried reinstalling multiple times. I tried everything. Until I accidentally plugged in my controller and booted up the software immediately afterwards. It worked! The problem was that my PC kept recognizing the controller as an audio device. If I booted up the software before plugging in the controller it would get buggy and wouldn't recognize the controller. I tried everything ie disabling the controller as audio device, ds4windows, activating gaming controller etc. Literally spent hours on different potential fixes. So for anyone that is still struggling with the awful software: plug in the controller, as soon as you hear your computer register the controller start the nacon software. You can program the sticks and trigger sensitivity, as well as update firmware. Delete old profiles and make new one. If you try to program buttons though it may say "no controller." Unplug and replug the controller to remove error. Make new button program. Save to profile but don't upload to controller. Restart controller and software as I said before. Choose profile, and upload to controller. If this doesn't work for you I suggest playing around with the timing of controller plug in and software startup. Good luck!

@@movement6671 something else to add, the software can be very slow to respond (which is weird because I have a good gaming PC with plenty of processing power.) So sometimes you have to be patient and wait several minutes for one click or press of a button to register.

No worries mate. Two ways to change it: 1.... manually, while gaming. Just keep pressing the S button you want mapped, then press the button you want it mapped to (square, circle etc...) 2..... via the software. The software comes with 4 profiles that are already filled in and named, they can not be altered. To make changes, simply rename one. As soon as it is renamed you are allowed to make changes.

Not sure what you mean mate. The ps mode is also a customizable mode. You have 4 profiles you can create and customize. Those are then usable on pc and ps4.

yvar j you can not connect it without the dongle in wireless modus. The only way is to use the cable in wired modus: take pc modus for pc and PS4 (not the advanced one) for ps4
