The last game I played that was set in Hong Kong was Sleeping Dogs (brilliant game), and that game turns 10 next year. 10 years later, KT will, most likely, give us the best representation of HK to date. It's very rare to see a game with a Far Eastern setting, I am so hyped. We've been asking Playground Games for ages, but it seems KT have heeded that call. I'll need to see some real time gameplay first, but if KT deliver, Solar Crown could change the genre significantly. Bring on September 2022!

Most likely will be handled by a different company into optimizing the port (like what basically Panic Button do for example with Switch ports of Rocket League, Doom [2016]/Eternal, Warframe, Wolfenstein 2:NC/Youngblood and Apex Legends) and likely be also delayed for extra time. Just saying.

I'm really worried now that they announced the location. Seeing how valorant is just microtransaction-fest and the Chinese people just keep throwing money at it doesn't help. This game is so full of shiny things to buy and casinos are literally marketed almost as much as cars so it really makes me wonder if this is just going to be a cash grab to exploit that huge market that, for the most part, doesn't get upset when confronted with things like this...

As for Witcher 3, the game built for PC then ported to Switch, if they had Switch in mind during the development, you would've gotten a potato version too for PC.

Hong Kong island is way too small. Unless they include mainland Hong Kong which I doubt they will. Super concerning that it’s on the switch too, means they had to dumb the game down to be able to run on that garbage. For people who are worried about the map size of HK island only being about 80km² in total: Some scenes in the trailer (like the harbor one) are not really on the island. It's rather the main city on the other side, so my guess is that we get two connected parts, which might explain why there are two clans fighting each other, so both sides could have one big segment of the map.

TDU1 Oahu is 1500 km². TDU2 Ibiza is 570 km². Hong Kong Island is just 78 km². If It's 1:1, Hong Kong Island would be too small compare to other two games. I hope it's just not Hong Kong Island, but the whole Hong Kong, which is 1100 km².

It most likely will not be an arcade. Because there is some developers returning from older titles and Nacon hasn't really made an arcade game in a long while. Actually they are leaning towards simulation with their WRC games.

It's cgi. The real game is probably gonna look better. Like the first The Crew game. Also I see a lot of people saying that map is too small and Hong Kong doesn't fit in with cars. In fact Hong Kong is known for illegal street racing. Also roads look fantastic. And as for "small" map, it isn't really that small for a racing game. Sure it's not TDU 2 size, but also it wasn't so detailed as racing games nowadays. Also WRC has really good rally stage design which is made by Nacon who also revived the franchise.
