i haven’t auditioned the c268, but i love my NAD c298 (i upgraded from my already great Parasound 2125v2) to max out my GoldenEar BRX speakers (250 watts) and the c298 peaks at 260 watts dynamic. I love how all 3 amps have all the features: trigger input/output, gain knob, loop out for subwoofers, mono bridge mode. source=Apple Music lossless

I found that gain/trim control on the rear to be very useful. I found that when I turned it down maybe about 1/3 and used the pre amp volume more , it gave me a bit more headroom.

Very interesting review! Do you prefer this NAD over the Rotel RB-1552 Mkii?

I can’t compare with any intelligence because the Rotel is hooked up to a totally different system with full range floor stander Martin Logan speakers . I enjoy both but will say the Rotel really holds its ground at extreme volume.
