This is really neat. I only have two tower speakers but would love to add subs. I always felt they would be out of phase. It seems like the M66 would enable me to do it.

Any update on when NAD will be shipping these again? Sales are currently on hold due to issues with the software and NAD has been elusive on providing a target date on when it will be available again.

Do the 2 single ended and 1 balanced inputs count as 3 separate inputs or does using the balanced limit you to 2 inputs? Any chance there is a HPF hidden in those menus? Wish they would have skipped the phono stage to bring the price down a smidge or provide another input. Most people buying at this price level who are vinyl fans will likely have an external phono amp with more adjustability. I'm curious what it would compare to.

If you received your M66 preamp and it isn’t fully functional because NAD is still developing the software, check with your dealer to make sure that the clock on your trial period/return policy is not ticking

I have Genelec G5 powered speakers connected with Node X. Would there be a hearable difference adding NAD M66? Will it add more headroom? Plan to add PSB sb8 .Definitely see benefit in Sub contol with M66

Can I use an external DAC with this? I couldn't see any digital outputs. (I've never heard an ESS DAC that I liked. They're always too bright and unnatural sounding to my ears...) Not having digital outputs seems lie a huge mistake.

DAC ess9038pro is more than enough + DIRAC Live. Some manufacturer spend to R&D on Ladder R2R DAC with higher resolution. but I think M66. is more than enough with all in one and good enough. what i'm not sure and no one review yet is How dirac live improve Sound on ANALOG MM phono input? and How is sound different? because this feature could be game changer! ANALOG / DIGITAL domain fighting finally blend and working together.. Will that idea work?

Waiting for have your next update. If you have chance to test. Yes ANALOG will be convert ADC from ESS then go to Dirac And Reconvert back by DAC that could be a disadvantage. But I think its worth to think and invest. I used to connected external Dac fixed volume and feed to AVR analog input for using the YPAO room correction + Volumn control on AVR before go to Speaker. Sound was generally improve.

You state that it has all the digital inputs you could ever want. Well, it’s missing one very important input that all modern DAC’s should have, which is I2S or USB, therefore, able to play DSD files via DSD downloads or an SACD transport, such as the PSB CD/SACD transport with I2S out. May be these inputs can be added in the future via its MDC2 slots. Without one or both of these inputs, I have to pass on this otherwise great product.
