NAD M66 Streaming Preamp with Dirac & 4 Sub Outs!

I have had my M66 since January running through my M23 amp to my GoldenEar Triton 1s. The Dirac on really does open up the sound stage. Would recommend the NAD setup to anyone.

@@Roscoeverdin5469 DSD is automatically converted to PCM on every product once you apply bass management. I listen to SACD on products that convert to PCM, no issues.

@@Audioholics interesting. DSD is converted to PCM. Why then have SACDs? PCM is not the same as DSD. I am surprised I received this response from a audiophile publication.

@Roscoeverdin5469 DSD is not at all better than PCM. Most mixing consoles conver to PCM anyway. I love SACD bc the care involved in production. PCM is technically superior and why nobody uses DSD anymore.

This unit is almost $6k, but so light the dude handles it with one arm. That tells me the internals are garbage.

No, that is simply myth, all amplifiers can sound different, but many class A and A/B amps have pretty bad distortion when you increase volume, some are great, Benchmark as an example, so not as simply as one design means all sound better. The M66 doesnt contain a class D amplifier though, its the processing unit, it's the M23 that contains the amplification. Reading and learning can work wonders. As for weight, and claiming it shows internals are garbage, no, it simply shows an idiot just had a brain fart with no idea what he was actually saying. Maybe stick to your meds.
