To beat Nadal at just 18 for their first meeting in front of his own crowd shows you how much talent Shapovalov possesses. Strange to see his ranking dropping 5 years later. To me, he's th most talented on tour, together with Dimitrov. He should win a GS somehow...

Alcaraz and Shapo are the future of this sport. But let's not forget Medvedev, Tsitsi, Sinner, Rublev, Felix, Berrettini and others who are great too, and since they are still young have plenty of opporutunities to reach and show their full potential!
@Koumpa1232 жыл бұрын
Definitely not,too inconsistent to be on top... All the guys you mentioned after are better!
@theUroshman2 жыл бұрын
@@Koumpa123 That can be attributed to his young age and mentality, but all this is about to change now as he is getting older and wiser now. You probably know that Wawrinka used to be insecure, being in the shadow of Federer for so long, and then later showed his full potential.The similar thing happened with Murray. Due to his staying in the shadow of the Big Three for so long and his overly defensive play some people called him a loser due although he was number 4 in the world (completely ludicrious and plain dumb to call one of the best tennis players of our time a loser), and then he started winning GSs and eventually became No 1, at 29 years, 5 months and 23 days. So, just wait and see, Shapo will be in the top 5 in no time, contending for that No 1 position with Djokovic, Alcaraz and a few other players of the younger generation.
@dastanprobg2071 Жыл бұрын
Felix game is limited, Berretini will end up like Raonic, because he is Raonic 2, Sinner, Rublev, Shapo, Alcaraz are top players, Medvedev-Zverev won't be in 10 in coming years.
