Shapo is this best left handed ball striker. His down fall is his mental and consistency.

Wow! Maybe a turning point in what has been a career of results lesser than his talent for Shapovalov. A better, more successful Shapovalov makes the whole ATP better for fans everywhere. Great job Dennis! Congrats! Keep it up!

To beat Nadal at just 18 for their first meeting in front of his own crowd shows you how much talent Shapovalov possesses. Strange to see his ranking dropping 5 years later. To me, he's th most talented on tour, together with Dimitrov. He should win a GS somehow...

Rafa has won 7 slams since this match while this remains Shapo’s biggest win to date as he has woefully underachieved…

Alcaraz and Shapo are the future of this sport. But let's not forget Medvedev, Tsitsi, Sinner, Rublev, Felix, Berrettini and others who are great too, and since they are still young have plenty of opporutunities to reach and show their full potential!
@Koumpa123

Definitely not,too inconsistent to be on top... All the guys you mentioned after are better!
@theUroshman
@theUroshman 2 жыл бұрын
@@Koumpa123 That can be attributed to his young age and mentality, but all this is about to change now as he is getting older and wiser now. You probably know that Wawrinka used to be insecure, being in the shadow of Federer for so long, and then later showed his full potential.The similar thing happened with Murray. Due to his staying in the shadow of the Big Three for so long and his overly defensive play some people called him a loser due although he was number 4 in the world (completely ludicrious and plain dumb to call one of the best tennis players of our time a loser), and then he started winning GSs and eventually became No 1, at 29 years, 5 months and 23 days. So, just wait and see, Shapo will be in the top 5 in no time, contending for that No 1 position with Djokovic, Alcaraz and a few other players of the younger generation.

Felix game is limited, Berretini will end up like Raonic, because he is Raonic 2, Sinner, Rublev, Shapo, Alcaraz are top players, Medvedev-Zverev won't be in 10 in coming years.

Shapo is too focused on being a performer. He won because he used the Canadian audience and thrived. If only he could channel his talent...and drop style over performance he'd be top 5!
