Djokovic has never been the most aesthetically pleasing to watch, he has no real weapons to speak of, it really is amazing how he has done it. He has different plans for different opponents, he senses really quickly during a match what needs to be adjusted and adjusts accordingly and instantly. He was on the ropes the entire match against Shapovalov yet finds a way to win, how he won that match is mind boggling. Shapovalov was in tears because he knew he should have won, he would have destroyed any other player that day. There is an artistry to what Djokovic is doing maybe even supernatural. His mind is intense yet free, he desires nothing for free, if he wants it he will work like hell to get it. Love him or hate him he will go down as the greatest of all time and his record will stand forever. Unlike most other tennis players who were born with silver spoons in their mouths, he came from a family with very modest means. He is disliked by the tennis elite because he is from Serbia. If he was from the UK, US, Australia, Switzerland, France or Spain the tennis elite would be fawning over him. He is an awesome inspiration and example to anyone that anything can be achieved. I really am lost for words and completely dumbfounded when it comes to Djokovic, forget about going down as the GOAT of tennis, he could well go down as a top 10 sportsman of all time.

He psychologically passively destroys opponents and worse of all .. in silence. He was silent the whole time as shapo hit his multiple winners and watched in silence as shapo self destructed. It’s almost like he wasn’t even on the court he wasn’t in his own body and was a guest in the crowd just staring at shapovalov until shapo felt a weight on his shoulders. Ok, I just watched Novak's press conference in Serbian. He said he had a stomach ache for a day or so. And that he felt discomfort throughout first two sets. He felt rusty and weak for majority of the match, hence weaker perfomance, especially on return he said... Because he couldn't stretch as usual... but didn't make any excuses, and acknowledged that Shapo was a better player in majority of the match... And that he just somehow found the way to win...
