Nadia is the greatest athlete ever! She did so much for gymnastics and for the Olympic movement. She is and always will be a class act.

She's so special. She can analyze her success and the frenzy around her without bragging and without fake humility, as if it all happened to someone else. Very poised, reserved. It shows she's very intelligent and that she knows how to answer questions by giving just the right amount of information and by keeping her secrecy. She's really inspiring.

I love the story of how her and Bart met. It is kind of sad that people don't give Bart Conner the credit he deserves. Don't get me wrong I love Nadia but Bart deserves some credit too. He is the only US male gymnast in history to win a medal at every level of national and international competition. All people seem to know him for is either being married to Nadia or for the movie Rad. If it wasn't for Bart Conner then Oklahoma would only be known as a Football state. When Bart came to the University of Oklahoma and did gymnastics there, he was practicing with his teammates in an old run-down movie theater. In order to do a vault you had to start from the ticket booth. Not long after that OU realized that the gymnasts needed a better place to practice. I respect Bart and Nadia for what they've done for gymnastics. Nadia rewrote the rules of gymnastics while Bart helped grow and make gymnastics what it is today here in Oklahoma. Love from Oklahoma

Full disclosure.. I, at the age of 45, was not aware of Nadia and her accomplishments until this time in my life. I can and will say that Mrs. Comăneci is on the level of greatness as an inspirational person and sports figure to the heights of Ali or Jordan. Period. The impact her life and determination has brought to so many, both indirectly and directly can not be understated. And I will go as far as to say that her union with Bart Conner as an example of what is truly possible in marriage and faith with a shared vision takes all the accolades to another level. Both of them are worthy of Saint status. Grateful to you both for all you continue to bring forth in the world. 🙏❤️🙏

Travelling back in time again: I did see a clip of her from her competitions just by mobile and I started to get Interest about her and read more..and remenbered about her when she was competeing at th time..All memoryes started coming back,,recalling when I sat and watching the Olympics and her and how I was stunned and amazed how she did all her exercises soo,, easy and like flying and like she was doing against Gravity rules.?? What was hidden in that tiny fragile body that could do so amazing gymnastic moves at tha age..? Those pictures got stuck in my mind and now reacalling back again..it feels like been just couple months ago. I got interest of her Life to read more and to findout more about her life and I even Bought her book."Letters for a young Gymanst" and im so mesmerized about her inner toughts and person as little girl and later on teen aged woman and struggle she had as young gymnast.. I reading the book and got more intrigued about her life and person, shes so strong minded rigorous dicipline and almost robotic calculations of her moves as a Gymnast and also her as a person. The funny thing is that She is same age like me only 5 months older,,? and apparently (accoding this intervjew) she was 46 and just had her first baby,,almost same like me,,I got my first baby when i was 41. How life can be strange sometimes.

I saw her when I was 6 on TV and I never heard of her until tonight. Yes. She was born a gymnast! She did gymnastic because she really love it. I was watching THE 1996 magnificent 7 stories on TV tonight and I followed their lives on Wiki. One of them sued her parents at 17 to get control of her money and married off to a doc and never had anything to do with gymnastic. The other married a rich lawyer and became a stay home mum.

And.. when I talk about a gypsy becoming a first class gymnast I am not talking about genetics, I am talking about living conditions, income, education... And yes, I know that Comaneci is not a roma. By the way... You might have become "too white" in Germany? MFR?
