Great video.I generally agree about the part, that a lot of people run way too many wincons. I disagree about the part with cephalid. The cost to include this line is almost zero, because it needs really only pieces you run anyway (except cephalid itself) You need: Endurance, cephalid coliseum, sylvan safekeeper, springheart nantuko or bounce spells. If you attach springheart nantuko on endurance, you can stack the cephalid triggers at instant speed without casting anything at this point. There were cases, where this really saved me.

i think nadu is a really cool deck! ive definitely seen evidence of lots of evidence for your talking points, like the inexperienced people picking it up based on hype, and how incredibly essential table politics are in this type of deck. i had a game where three players were locked under a drannith, the drannith player was locked under a harbinger of the seas, and nadu asked the table if we would be okay with drannith being bounced (there were two spellskites in play). kinnan was really excited about the idea, but i reminded them that it would result in nadu immediately drawing at least 12 cards and probably winning on the spot. nadu tried to smooth it over with 'yeah no worries, im just asking questions', but the trust damage was done, and they never got back into that game. overall, i think your analysis is very good and detailed! i never saw the appeal of sea kings blessing before, because i always thought theres gotta be better stuff to do, but i see the value of how much it doesn't look like a gamewinning spell even though it usually is.

I've only started playing magic in the last year (I know this far down the rabbithole already) and don't play CEDH - not nearly competent enough for that, but this was exceptionally insightful deep look into styles of play and deckbuilding thank you! I'll defs apply some of this to my much jankier brews.

Love playing Nadu in Arena. Pro tip...i run a locust god deck and i run at least 6 Pongify type cards or deep freeze type cards....where the creature loses all abilities. Thats nadu's cryptonite.

I totally agree on the point that casual players are going to play this card as a 7 which will lead to it getting banned. Also Nadu is one of the laziest card designs in recent memory. They designed the most busted Simic ability of all time then did not want to balance or fix it and just threw on "only twice per turn" so cringe.

So I adore playing Nadu. He is just literally fun and I personally do not take those 15-20 minute turks unless I know I'm winning & the table is making me go through the line manually. Secondly, while I do agree that people should not let "Nadu do the Nadu thing", this to me means that your opponents should not allow you to have your shuko or the other artifacts. Nadu on his own is not that scary....it is the things in the 99 that make him a green Hulk-Bird. Lol Lastly, not many people are running artifact hate stuff that blow them up like force of Vigor just yet, so I'm not entirely sure just having your shuko's out on the board is an entirely bad thing. But at this point, they should not let Nadu hit the board. Lol

I really like the idea of playing Nadu, but even at a week into the actual release of MH3 I feel like I’m behind the curve. As someone just getting into cEDH, the politicking is something I’m not used to. I will build the deck, but also build T&K lol

It really ought to be banned. Most arguments against banning it are reasonable, except I know a way-too-good deck when I see one, and this is obviously it; frankly, I don't really see how anybody could play with it and disagree.
