@@userofyoutuve I was just happen to be in my place with no rules. I had a blow up bed and my clothes . My aunt gave me a table and I got the chairs from Salvation Army. I walked each chair down 2 blocks to my apartment and clean the fabric, and painted the chairs. Then I went to Marlos clearance section and got me a nice headboard and a bed. Ladies could couldn't tell me nothing. I believe at the time the bulk store was Price Rite that turn into Sam's Club and bought household items in bulk. I'm proud of you and your new place.

To get a curl out of a rug. Reverse roll the rug and allow to relax for an hour or two. Unroll and the rug should lay flat.

I love to watch makeovers, I'm old school, referring to my age. I want to give you a little advice to y'all youngsters, first I want to see how talented you youngsters are. But remember this stuff today will not be considered antique tomorrow, why? Cuz it's tough today's made very cheap, you pay a lot of money for something that may last for a year. Go to estate sales go when you see furniture from old you know they always have a dining room and living room they don't ever use that much , that's what you want to buy, you can always paint it at least it's 100% pure would sturdy ,firm good materials, even the old school metal isn't made better than the most expensive metal. And you won't spend as much and you haven't for a long long time ❤️🤗😊

My mom has been telling me this every since I got married. It’s so true! Being a military family we move every 2 to 3 years and the only thing that ever got messed up in our moves is our kitchen table that we brought from big lots. It’s time for us to move again and I doubt it will be any good after this move.

I love the way you decorated your apartment. It looks so nice. You have to work with the budget you have. It doesn't cost a lot of money to make any space look nice. For example, I purchased a $25 sofa from a used furniture store and got some throw pillows . When people come over, they tell me how nice my sofa is. They cannot believe I only paid $25.

Luv your rug color and your picture selection.The only tip that I have is with your pictures you should have gone a little larger or just got one large picture with same color scheme. Always check your local Ross stores for beautiful budget friendly decor especially accessories and art work..😉... 👍🏽

New subbie! I found you while searching budget friendly apartment makeovers. I recently moved from a three bedroom 1 & 1/2 bathroom house (1,609 sq ft) to a one bedroom, 1 bath apartment (783 sq ft) so I’m in dire need of a small dining room set because my previous set is too big for the space. I also decided to get new bedroom furniture so I’m definitely looking to save some money. Great idea from your subbie regarding the drill, I’m going to buy one too. I love those bar stools and I’d been eyeing them on Amazon myself. I like entertaining so I’m always on the lookout for extra seating. Also, using the Command strips are a great idea for hanging pics, I hadn’t thought of that.

It looks beautiful add a big frameless mirror to the wall that didn’t have anything on it in the dinning area to make the space feel bigger ..also a big medium vase with blue and white sticks you can spray paint them yourself ,or a plant would look nice in the corner on the side where he pics are .but you did an amazing job with your apartment..congratulations ❤️
