The red thing she put on his head is called a Tika, it is part of the welcoming ceremony during festivities. And if it is a prayer then everyone will get one put by the priest. Festivals you can celebrate in India with everyone: 1) Holi - the festival of colors 2) Diwali - the Festival of Lights... this is the last day of the whole celebration 3) Durga Puja - this is celebrated slightly different in each state with the biggest one held in West Bengal. Occurs few days before Diwali... one of the first days. Those two are the bigger celebratory days that everyone is involved in and tourists come to enjoy. It is exciting to be part of these festivities but must always remember they come with risks... enjoy yourselves if you every go to India but be careful.

When you guys are reacting to these musical numbers, most of them are numbers that are done with in the movie as in context to the storyline. So like at the end when he said, "why did she look scared?" Its because these are within the movie, not a music video like for MTV. That's the beauty of Bollywood movies is that they at times have several musical numbers within the movie.

Great video, guys! Since you enjoyed the choreography in this song, I would HIGHLY recommend the song “Dola Re Dola” from the Indian movie Devdas. It’s a different style, but you’ll love the colors, visuals, and the two female leads. It's an iconic song~ To Patric and everyone, I really hope you all have the chance to attend a South Asian festival, Indian or otherwise! This particular dance (where people dance in circles) is called garba. Navratri garba events are THE place if you love this type of energy :)

Okay so this type of dance is called “garba” which is portrayed in this bollywood film. It is originated in Gujarat a state in India. every year, we have a festival called “navratri”.. literally translates to “nine nights” where we pray to god and go to the temple or huge empty grounds to celebrate the festivities. The traditional outfits as you see in this is exactly how people in Gujarat, India used to wear still wears to this day on this festival. Garba is a form of prayers... instead of singing or saying the prayers as you would at a church or temple... we sing it and also dance to the rhythm and beat. It’s one of the most popular festivals in india along with Holi (festival of colors) and Diwali (festival of lights). Check out some real LIVE videos on YT for garba. It’s LIT! obviously in this day and time... the festival has been influenced over fashion and dance. One of my favorite festivals!
