NAGALAND’S LITERACY TRIUMPH SHADOWS UNEMPLOYMENT CHALLENGES

Nagaland, with a literacy rate of 79.55%, stands out as an educated state, where male literacy is 82.75% and female literacy is 76.11%. According to the annual Periodic Labour Survey (PLFS), Nagaland has the fourth highest literacy rate in the country. In response, NLTV conducted a ground report and spoke with the public. Many residents cited several factors contributing to unemployment in the state. These include a strong preference among the youth for government jobs over private sector employment, a lack of entrepreneurs, and a scarcity of available jobs in the region.

I've came across aspirants who doesn't even know the competition or the ratio level. Where they stand or what's their probability. Lack of industry and factories. 10℅ give opportunity to nonlocal gvot employees in nagaland. Business is out of dream for naga youth due to political settlement. The question itself is wrong. How long are we going to blame the government? Naga youths are lazy and lack creativity and don't want to enter into hard labor work. Of course, the lack of proper industries could be one of the many and the promotional inputs by the government are not promising but our youths should come out of their comfort zone and start work in any field that is available.

I always share my views. In Nagaland, most of the youths are educated but I should say educated uncivilized, Why? because they are educated but laziness is on high level, educated but their understanding level is still at the level of stone age, educated but status maintain is so high with zero understand,so that they don't want to work or help their parents maintaining status by holding their degree and they want money for enjoyment and telling unemployment unemployment unemployment. I think degree holders are less employed but cl. 12 and below person's are employed in private like business, shopkeepers, Mistry, labourer, etc. Because Nagaland does not have big company, industries, and so on but only govt. One example of our mentality: My neighbor bought katla fish from non local, door to door salesman at Rs 380/ kg which actual cost is ₹240. If it would have been a local salesman then they will say that it's too expensive and will end up not buying. No support for local and only criticize when local starts business.

while walking around the busy market in our town, it pains me to see non-local people dominating every business establishment. I am concerned about the lack of verification for these individuals and how they can easily set up businesses, while our indigenous Naga youth struggle to even find a small space to start their own ventures.
