"Nagri Pracharini Sabha" is the leading organization of the country which is promoting the Hindi language and literature and Devanagari script founded on July 16, 1893 by Shyamsundar Das, Pt. Ramnarayan Mishra and Shivkumar Singh.
Pracharini, known for its significant contribution to the post-Bhartendu era of Hindi literature's remarkable activities, their regulation and control, was founded by three students of Queen's College, Babu Shyam Sundar Das, Pt. Ram Narayan Mishra, Shivkumar Singh. The fame of this institution spread in the Hindi world due to the stalwarts of Hindi literature like Acharya Mahavir Prasad Dwivedi and Ramchandra Shukla. Rare books were published from here.
Manuscripts and texts were discovered and collected from village to village in the year 1900. Today Pracharini has a stock of more than 20 thousand manuscripts, more than 50 thousand old magazines and more than 1.25 lakh texts. Since 1920 it has daily collection of hindi newspapers "Aaj" till today.
