In today’s episode, Shri Rajarshi Nandy returns to The Ranveer Show, to share his incredible knowledge of Spiritualism with our listeners. He is an upasaka, an adherent of the Sanatan Dharma. He is also an author, columnist, and writer on matters related to Hindu spirituality apart from guiding people into the path of sadhana. His first book on the general principle of sadhana is available on Amazon www.amazon.in/Adhyatmikta-Raj...
He has also co-authored a paper on tantra and modern neuroscience. In this conversation, Rajarshi Nandy sir explored the depth of spirituality and how it can change our lives for better or for worse. He talked about the connection of our Past Life with the Present and how it defines our spiritual growth, what is the Actual Purpose of our Lives, how the deities came into existence, what is the present Reality of Nagas & more. He further explained the True and Superior form of Shiva and how it is different from the one that we worship. He also delves into worshipping the Deadliest form of Shiva - Bhairava and how it can affect our lives.
This episode was majorly about understanding the true meaning of Shiva and what are the depths of worshipping his different forms. However, as the conversation went on, we covered many more aspects of spirituality. This is just the first episode of many more that will be coming your way in the future and all of them are going to be intense. I hope that you enjoy this episode as it will help you gain some tremendous knowledge about the spiritual world. Please feel free to share your opinions in the comments!

2:45 , I'm a sikh..and i remember a story about our first guru, guru nanak dev ji , where he was sleeping without a shelter under the sun, so to provide him shadow..a snake came in and covered guru nanak dev ji's head. I never really thought about this..like how snakes are always seen in almost every religion.

That Temple Is Near My Home Town In Kerala Its In Alleppey District, There is an Old Woman who is considered as the "Amma" (Mother) of those snakes she in every year on a particular day does a ritual where she holds that Naga Deity Statue and walks around the temple and Small Serpants (Sarpa) will follow her without causing any harm. Nagas power is beyond our imagination, If you goes to that temple and one other temple called "Vettikkott Nagaraja Temple" (which is also not much far from Mannarassala temple) you can feel such a different vibe

I'm from Pakistan. There is an historical city called Taxila here. When I went to visit it I saw on the board which was about the history of the city, that the name Taxila came from ' Taka Shala ' or something like that. Which means ' hills of snakes '. There was written myths and folklore which were famous in that area. Stating that once In Taxila lived tribes of snakes who were like humonoide reptilian beings. There were battles there between the humans and reptilian beings. There is a museum as well and in it I saw at least one artefact depicting serpent which was discovered there. I was quite intrigued by that discovery but now after listening to you and also Sadhgru it makes sense. Thanks for adding to my information. Great show.

It is unfortunate and painful that many important historical and spiritual places of India are now in Pakistan, Bangladesh & Afghanistan, and the governments there mostly don't protect it but destroy it. This is where the need to protect Kashmir, another holy & historic place, arises for India.

I saw a baby cobra in our compound and we were trying to drive it out of our compound by hitting the wall/ground and making noises. a security person from opposite building (who was from rural area) came and hit the baby snake with a cricket bat on it's head (actually snake was going out slowly) . He took it and burned it. You won't believe, he lost movement of his hands and legs two days from the day of the incident and within 10 days he died.

This is so true ! My grandmother used to kill snakes in and it is said that if you kill snakes your blood line will not continue. She had 5 kids including my father . 3 daughters and 2 sons 2 buas and my uncle never had children. One bua had 2 daughters My father had only me and it was not an easy pregnancy for my mom . They had to donate snake made out of gold in a temple . So basically 5 kids had only 3 kids in total and all 3 girls . ( it doesn’t matter to us but you know how older generation thinks that only a boy can take a family’s bloodline forward )
@saharnouri8110
@saharnouri8110 Ай бұрын
But that’s not true. 3 daughters can build a nation. It’s very old and not scientific view to think daughters can’t give the bloodline to the next generation. Jews for example say that in order for you to be a Jews your mother must be a Jew. 50% of your DNA is your mothers DNA. So it can’t be true that killing the snakes will kill your blood line.

It must be 2016..17 on a saturday noon i had my art class in my neighbor's house, their house was just opposite to mine . It was raining and had recently bought a bicycle so i took it everywhere. So i had my bicycle in one hand an umbrella in other , i was opening the gate of my neighbour's house to take something from my house suddenly like a ball of wool just like that a ball of snakes fell at an arm distance from me . There were like many dark green snakes wrapped around together in a ball .And as soon as they fell , they scattered in different directions. There were no trees above me open sky . No roof above my head. No one believes me till today . A grandma from that neighbour's house told me that fell from shivas jata. Aslo i stood there frozen as it fell and went past my feet . I wasn't harmed though. But it was a strange moment.

In Nagaland, there are intriguing stories where individuals are spiritually connected to snakes, to the extent that if the snake perishes, so does the person. Similarly, there are tales of people transforming into tigers. Nagas trace their origins to the ocean, reflected in their adornments adorned with seashells. Tribes like Angami, Sumi, AO, Pochuri, and Chakhasang, konyak etc hold beliefs in a precious gem atop a snake's head, said to grant luck to those fortunate enough to discover it, enabling them to seek anything they desire.

Just before that on holi full moon night my family was witness to this shining star like object which appeared differently located the next night. My father never believed such things being an army man. He threw o stone in that direction which fell with rustle close by. And withing 5 secs the shining object was gone. We still believe we saw a Mani and the snake we later saw was its owner.

I could see one of the other initiates awaken and look at me from his center. We built upon each others spiritual power. My quaseka/guru is Fakir Mussafar.

Bro..there are such people and I too have witnessed this horrific incident in my colony...!!! I was very angry but couldn't use abusive language due to ladies and kids being around... however, couldn't hold back when another "sand boa" snake was crushed (thankfully not burnt) .. in between I personally removed couple of trinkets (small snakes) ..and my colony kids supported and calling me when ever they spotted snake. So happy to change perspective in new generation.👍

I am scared of snakes but I believe there must be some spiritual power to the snakes that's why they remain so close to our Hindu God n the story that told by ranveer sir it's a sign of human's cruelity. We should never kill any living creature until we are in threat bcz of them I find snakes the most dangerous reptiles nevertheless intersting too.

@beerbiceps I totally enjoyed watching ur emotions, excitement and queries on this topic. Any old Nair tharavad (ancestoral home) in kerala will have a nagam or kavu ( a sacred place/Grove meant for nagas) . Most of the kerala temples also have a special place for nagas. Do visit Mannarshala temple or pambumekkattu mana during your next kerala visit to know more. You may find more details from temple websites too.

A long time ago I had a dream that I am in a temple full of snakes and the priest is asking me to bow my head and to not be scared. He then proceeded to hand me over one of snakes and asked me hold it without being scared but the moment I held it I flinced and he bit me. But nothing happened except a simple wound. That dream was intriguing.

I Love and enjoyed listening to Bhai Nandi topics. Please make him your regular guest. I'm afraid of snakes. When I was younger, I was swimming in our pool and as I turned around I saw a black baby snake over my left shoulder, I got very scared like I was having a heart attack, I ran out of the pool and grabed the pool skimmer collected the snake through it on the grass and killed it 😢

My neighbour kid encountered two snakes today...one wrapped and wriggled around him while sleeping ....I helped remove the 2nd snake and was actually talking to it while dragging him to the society drainage which is attached to the fields nearby. That baby snake did not create havoc and actually cooperated. Coincidentally, I had a dream today about snakes and some other entity and I completely forgot it. Plus sravan and bhadra maas of our culture also forbids killing serpents in these months (it is forbidden per se). I chant Maa Mansa Strotam regularly and till date no snake has come into my house. Snakes symbolise infinity, fertility, and majestic opulence. And yes, serpents are mystical and they never forget because my family has bore the brunt of our grandmother and uncle killing snakes in our paternal home.

That is the reason we Bangalis worship Maa Monosha 🙏🏻. In "Monoshamongol" it was described that maa monosha was the daughter of Lord Shiva. If angered maa monosha can destroy everything that a person holds dear or if she is worshiped properly with absolute devtion, as Rajorshi sir said, Maa can uplift a person in every possible way. These lores and stories that old people still tells are not at all lies.
