Skill itself is just more interesting. Skill is a leverage point; a metaphysical pulley system that allows you to lift more than you'd be able to if you just went the direct way about it. A multiplier to your own traits, if you will. Massive natural feats of strength or speed is great, but seeing skill or technique in conjunction, it's like watching a machine come to life. I think that's what a lot of modern anime miss, now; having it not just be about raw ability, but the application of ability and other modifiers.

His bloodthirst and his natural talent of being an assassin is explained and done justice with his background story. And I love that they explained it instead of giving a no assed explaination like 'oh he is just born with it' or some bull crap. Since he was a kid, he was always on the look out for when his mother would be in a bad mood and his instinct would have been to survive. That, what I think, has developed his lurking skills, his ability to really know how other's are feeling and to what extent and finally, his ability to blend into shadows. Growing up in a physically and mentally abusive household can turn a person into someone they don't realize they have become until a particular point. Nagisa is more of a well-written character than most of the half-assed protagonists I see nowadays.

there is actual psychological research on this, they found that incredibly talented kids grew up with parents with undiagnosed bipolar depression or narcissistic mental health issues, so they developed really intense and high level observation and emotional intelligence when they were really young, so that they could just survive the day with their mum or dad. because they are so young, they don't target those skills and they just filter into everyday life and so they become geniuses because they know human behaviour so well.

Yep that's also what I thought as his best asset. He could read how other people's emotions (and the whole social environment?) fluctuates. So he knows when his target's guard is the lowest or manipulate such fluctuation. I knew something is up when he had that grenade on his neck. It might still be natural or developed at that time, but I've became more interested with his family due to his opinion of Karasuma's eyes when he first fought Takaoka. His character is constructed pretty well.

regarding the ending scene: You don't need a weapon to kill. A filed fingernail is very much capabale of cutting the main artery to the brain open. It is the second toughest material of the human body. In first place are the teeth (which makes for a good way to get rid of the filed nail). Oh, as another interesting tidbit: The only difference between hair and fingernails is the amount of disulfide bridges in the material that keep the strands connected. Thats why they both grow at the same speed, too. When getting a perm at the barber, sulfur is introduced to connect the hair and thus keep the shape.
@yogamsoni76693 жыл бұрын
wouldn't the second toughest material be the bone?
@dicerson99763 жыл бұрын
@@yogamsoni7669 In terms of hardness, no. Bones are tough because they are flexible and can bend a great deal without breaking. Teeth and nails do not bend, they break when subjected to enough force from their "weak" direction (perpendicularly). But if they are sharp and applied in the correct manner, they can cut, tear, etc. just as easily as a knife or other sharpened object.

My kinda fanfiction?: Based on the characters, I don't think Nagisa would have physically gone against his mother and his mother was crazy enough to actually burn it down. So if Korrosensei was around, he would be ready with a couple buckets of water or something else that would put out the fire and then act in a way that would make Nagisa's mother faint. If Korrosensei wasn't around, then the class would probably rebuild their building - look at what they did to that orphanage. Nagisa's mother would be charged with arson, but Korrosensei and Karasuma would help Nagisa stay in school and have his guardianship passed to his dad. Overall, they would still be fine and make it through together, as their assassination classroom

This is what makes Nagisa, IMO, the perfect assassin. Because being an assassin doesn't always need you had to have super strength and DBZ-like feats. All you need is something to throw your victim off-guard. Like Korosensei said, it doesn't need someone to match their victim's strength, it's going for the kill before their victim could fight back.
@rachelthornberry12402 жыл бұрын
What I love about Nagisa is that he's not strong, in straight up hand to hand combat he loses as shown with the second fight against Takaoka and the kill save fight with Karma, however one does not need strength to defeat ones enemy. Nagisa uses his small light frame to dodge and then uses the targets strengths against them Karma is a fighter, in hand to hand combat he is very good, he can hit hard and fast and it's hard to hit him since he's got a trained reflex from fighting, however it's so clear in their fight that he is only going to come out on top if his opponent is also commits to hand to hand combat, and he relies on tiring them out by avoiding them as he lands big strikes on them, the reason he lost is because he expected it to be a normal fight, despite his knowledge of Nagisa's abilities he is no match when it comes to someone who is a master at swift silent movement that you only notice after it's been done, he doesn't expect to be outplayed when he's supposed to have the upper hand, I'm pretty sure they even address in that episode that in a straight fight between Nagisa and karma, karma would win for sure, he is overall a stronger fighter, but Nagisa?... Nagisa is an *assassin*. He is looking for the perfect time to strike in a way that would work most to his advantage. And another reason is Karma was more focused on the Offence rather than Defence, he didn't perceive Nagisa to be a threat due to aforementioned reasons of power, you could even say Karma was careless, and he is, his goal was to beat Nagisa so horrifically that he wouldn't bother putting up any more of a fight, he underestimated the drive behind the motive, which is why in the end he submitted despite having an opportunity to win, that kind of determination combined with the fact he was essentially bested in combat developed respect, it was clear that even if he did "stab" Nagisa in the back while he was vulnerable he would have still continued to put up a fight. Better to know when you're beaten, and Karma certainly knew Tldr: Assassination Classroom is a great anime and the characters are very well written to the point where it's easy to make sense of their actions. Also Nagisa is scary deadly and I love him for it

Actually knowing a hit man and realizing how this would get him killed is kinda ironic considering how it’s supposed to be an “assassination “ anime
@sadeensada91072 жыл бұрын
in my opinion nagisa had so much potential even the show in general did. I was really disappointed by the fact that the anime only had two seasons I was even hoping that wasn't true. I still don't understand why he chose to be a teacher, even when I first watched the anime I was not expecting him to choose that career and thought he was stupid for doing that moreover I still think so, maybe its my own preference but I'm sure that a good amount of people agree with me. what I think happened to me was that I set a really high expectation for the character development for nagisa and the plot of the entire show and I really regret doing that :(
@vingvingduy17792 жыл бұрын
You can talk about "high exspectations from character development" when what you describe is simple that what you would have eanted nagisa to be. Just because nagisa decided to become a teacher, the thing he did good and the think he copied from his teacher instead of an assasin, doesnt mean that the anime/manga was bad...
@deinonychus19482 жыл бұрын
@@vingvingduy1779 just look what happened with Koro-Sensei, he was the greatest assassin in the world, then after that he became the best teacher in anime history! and he probably realised that even if he could be an assassin, he knew that he'd do more good being a teacher
@Someone-px9ge2 жыл бұрын
honestly they ended it in a way i would have never imagined, The way nagisa looked up to korosensei and then when he said Try you best to kill me You have until graduation. just like him… 😭 i just hope he wont end up the same like koro-sensei, that would be another devastating death i cant handle
