Karma lost because he was too conscious about Nagisa's assassination abilities and Nagisa took that as an advantage and didn't use any assassination techniques(except the clap thing, but that was also a fodder IG) and pinned Karma in his own fort. He could've won if he decided to play the game with Nagisa's plans (assassination, like do anything to win. That's basically what Nagisa did in the battle.) but in the end he chose to stay stubborn and didn't use the knife.
