Nagoya-Takayama 2023 | Solo Travel | Day 3 - TAKAYAMA | Walking tour, Food Trip

Hello! Welcome to the Day 3 of my Solo Trip Vlog in Japan! Today, I will show you around Takayama. When we talk about old Japan, I bet the first thing that comes into your mind is Kyoto. But in central Japan, there is another destination that speaks traditional Japan, that is Takayama. It's like Kyoto without much of the tourist crowd.
I had a really relaxed itinerary. Perhaps, no fixed itinerary at all. Haha. I had all the laid back vibes walking around Takayama. I think I was able to experience all the food and drinks I wanted to try while planning for this trip (especially the sake tasting ;) ).
I tried to be as detailed as possible in this trip, hoping this can help you when you travel to Takayama soon. It is such an underrated Japan destination. If you are to ask me, if I will come back? Sure I will! I know there are still a lot of things need to be explored in this place.

Thanks for making such beautiful videos. very sincere and well documented! love all the Day 1 to Day 3 videos, watch all of them twice! and yes, I remember the Hilton hotel stay in Day 4 too. Is Nohi bus the only bus that goes to Shirakawa-go? How much was the return trip cost?

Do you think one wk in Takayama is too much? Would I run out things to do? I just want to bum around, take pics...read books..

Takayama is a very small town, you are able to just walk towards each of its destination. I think 3days would be enough is your goal is to explore. However, if you plan is not just to explore but to bum around and relax, spending one week is a good idea since you'll find a lot of apots where you can just sit and relax

Yes po, walking distance for someone who loves to walk(except dun sa hike kasi hike tlga siya. Haha) as for the Supermarket, un lang ata ung supermarket talaga. The rest na nakita ko are convenient stores na, which is madami din naman
