I always thought that Araki's drawing style is more like a piece of art than an anime style. I guess that's what makes it unique

Manga is art is it not? Manga is just like a picture book or comic, except the pictures are always drawn. Drawing is of course art so manga is definitely art

@@beatleboy2284 I wouldn't say that ANYTHING that is drawn on a piece of paper is an art. For example, anime's about reincarnation are not art to me, because they have the same plot always. But Araki's art, is art.

This man is an inspiration. If you look at his earlier works, you will see how he has progressed in time. From something Harlock-esque, to what we know today. He created and inspired many of anime's greatest series. This man is the reason I keep drawing. I look at his work and say, "I WILL be able to do that one day." Long live Araki.

He's actually said in interviews from with the last five years that when he looks at his older works such Part 1 of JoJo and Baoh, thoughts such as "I wrote this?" and "This doesn't look like my work at all!" go through his head, which really does show his growth as both an artist and a writer after doing comics for over 30 years.

seraby oh yeah and even in general my style went from wonky anatomy, small soft boys and cute soft girls with pastel colour schemes to a more of an anime-realistic blend with stronger more muscular girls and boys who look like they could support their heads. It really shows how much a fandom can change your art as i took inspo from hajnarus, purmello, stecco and more (twt) but before jojo i was in the miraculous fandom which had a lot of people drawing the characters with more rounded weaker shapes

I still remember when I discovered JoJo years ago. I had yet to find that one anime that was life-changing like so many others had. I was seeing the phrase "Is that a JoJo reference?!" everywhere and got curious. What was JoJo? I asked myself. I found the series on Hulu and began watching and right from the start it had me entranced. A unique and beautiful art style, over-the-top muscular men, vampires, Hamon. No other series had ever began with such a bang. By the fourth episode of part 1 I knew I was in it for the long haul. I finished part 1 and was devastated by the death of Jonathan, I was also confused too. How could a series continue if the main character was gone? Then, when I started Battle tendency and we met Joseph, a smile appeared on my face from ear to ear. No other series had ever made me smile like that. No other series has made me cheer when the good guy was winning or cry when my favorite character died. It's true what they say about JoJo, it truly is like no other series and for that reason has inspired many others such as myself to pursue the creation of our own manga.

Araki’s art is like no other. I love when it is clear that the images a mangaka is creating highlight their vision so well. It’s why I appreciate Inio Asano’s style so much. It bleeds creativity, and embraces weirdness and abstraction, while simultaneously using visuals as a storytelling device. Araki draws his characters in a way that seemed so uncanny valley at first, but when it clicked for me, I learned just how beautiful JoJo really is. Let’s all hope Araki can forever put his genius into visual form for as long as the series is around.

His art is leaving me speechless as im writing this im wondering what could possible be wrote to express my love, excitement, sadness, happiness, and emotion for this man and show he has brought to life. Araki doesnt stop working and gives me courage to keep draw wondering if ill ever be able to be on his level or just feel happy with the level im on. He makes me want to keep getting better at not just drawing but in life. He has inspired me so much to the point where my heart is beating through my shirt right now. Thank you Araki. I dont know if anyone remembers this, but this feels like these old old art shows where they teach you how to draw and it's so vintage. Like Bob Ross's joy of painting. Minus the talking ofcourse!

This man is such an inspiration, and never keeps me bored. I will keep re-reading his mangas if I have to, but IF Araki ever dies I hope that there’s someone out there that’s willing to continue his work with the same talent for many years to come. I admire Araki so much, he gave me happiness, bored to death during covid my friend introduces me to JoJo, and I do not regret that. My friends think I’m obsessed with JoJo but no, I just really admire it.

The process of making JJBA looks so good and it makes me wanna learn how to draw much better than I can today. Araki works hard on JoJo and you can even see it. He is such a big inspiration to me and I hope he continues his success.

Watching this made me realize that I just need to slow down. If Araki, an absolute master at his craft, takes multiple days and hours upon hours to finish a piece, then I think it’s okay for us to just all slow down, not with just art, but just in general. Take your time, dedicate yourself to one piece, one thing. Don’t move on so quickly, just invest yourself into something you care about and see what you can make of it

Drawing on large scale is really hard. I'm not a pro but physically drawing an A4 page is hard. He's drawing on probably an A2 page, which is just amazing. Now imagine how hard it must have been for artists painting real size paintings. I'm so happy to see art evolving, and it keeps making our world richer. Araki is a true genius, as well as the other great mangakas out there, and the other artists obviously
