A good way to wear jellies without being bothered by your visible nail line is applying a blurring base coat beforehand (smoothing base coats usually also have this effect). A smoothing base also prevents the jelly from "pooling" in ridges, etc.

What's your favorite base? I'm using cirque colors ridge filling base coat.

@Craftasaurous Wrecks I'm on a pretty tight budget so I stick to drugstore brands for base and top coats. The Ridge Filler base coat by Essence works great for me and leaves me with enough money for awesome indie polishes 😀

I appreciate your inconsistency and mediocrity (your vid name cracked me up) for real tho I love the variety of your videos and your relatable perspective. Great job as usual!

I like seeing nail art videos that aren't overly edited and perfected. I think I am sort of good at nail art, but I have fails all the time and try to still post them because I don't want to fall into the perfection trap. I hope that if you like making them, you'll do more nail art videos cuz I likes 'em!

You really gave me a bunch of new-to-me ideas for nailart using jellies!! Thank you! They all look great and super fun. I generally shy away from nailart because I feel like it never looks that wonderful (or at least not as wonderful as images on social media!!). Also, I feel like it takes me 3 hours to do a design, and I just don't want to take that much time. But you've re-inspired me with this video!! Thanks for all your content.

i cant stand seeing a top nail line 🙅🏻‍♀️ but you actually made me like these somehow?! when you add the glitter or stamps it distracts from the nail line and does give an awesome effect! who knew?!

There are some nail techs I follow on Instagram (mainly in east Asia, it seems) who are starting to do these sheer "jelly" looks w/ all types of earth tones, to where it looks like polished stones or colored glass on the nails. I would love to know how they achieve that, but your choice of colors at the beginning reminds me of the colors they would use.

I still can't get behind jellies, but I love how some of these look- especially the geometric design and stamping.

This was so fun! Would love to see more nail art videos, cos I'm lazy to do anything too difficult myself and enjoyed these more beginner-friendly ideas. One of my fav things to do with jellies is make gradients using the bottle brush. I've mostly been buying cheaper Korean sheers/crelly polishes.

I love the newer Cirque Jellies and glitters they are available on Amazon as well tfs I have some older Wet n Wild jellies that are amazing for a pond mani I layered white flowers with a dotting tool so it really looked like a pond with the blue . I got blue and pink . Was a great collection can probably still get it . I was surprised when I googled some old polishes like the first one I wore a lot when I stopped biting my nails I was looking at it last night, SH antiqued Gold Shatter . I’d wear it alone lol . Anyway I saw it’s still available. Many older gems 💎 Can you believe shatter is coming back I suppose most things do 🫠 I love the Orly Jellies I haven’t seen them yet 😲

That was awesome!!! You explain each step very clearly, and it doesn't seem so intimidating to try the different styles. The dotted one that bled seems like it could be interesting to do deliberately. Place some of the dots and let them dry completely. Then place some dots and let them only semi-dry, and deliberately smear them with the second coat. I think the last one might be interesting to do with contrasting colour cremes, rather than matching colour cremes, like red and yellow, or purple and orange. Thanks for a great video!

These were so fun! For the pond stamping manicure, did you put down a water based TC, and/or how long did you let the stamping dry, before you added the next layer of jelly polish?
