I did this about a year ago if you use the nail glue that came with that kit (mine did, like I said it was a while ago) on bake pieces it comes out really nice without marring up the surface of the clay.

I saw a tutorial where a woman stored the rolls in a photo album laid out side by side vertically that way she just flipped through the pages and was able to see them all. Mine are all shoved in a baggie which doesn't work either! The colors and patterns you chose with a black clay background were very beautiful indeed.

I cut my foil into 6 inch sections, stacked them on top of each other and then rolled them up.

That's wild that you can just rub the foil with the end of that paint brush & it comes off! I thought we are supposed to use the nail glue, like I saw in another video the gal put the nail glue on the polymer clay 1st, then the nail foils after the nail glue dried. Learned something new! Cool, thx!

For best results try not to touch the foil with your fingers. 😉

I have bought a couple of sets of Nail foils but, for some reason, I can not get them to transfer on to the clay? I have tried rubbing them and even turned them over in case I had them upside down? I have now ordered Nail Art Glue to see if that works? Any ideas anyone, I am totally new at this. Thank you very much.

Apply glue stick first. That should do it

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHOWING ME HOW TO USE MY NEWLY ACQUIRED nail foils! I got them expecting to outline my clay jewelry with a Mandela pattern. Now, thanks to you, I can. I always love it when I buy something and see what it can do to my redesigned jewelry! AND, it came exactly as I got the nail foils!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

@@happyplacestudio I use liquid clay a few dots and then spread it so it is almost "gone" and use like that, otherwise, way too thick and it does not work at all.

I'll definitely try this! I wonder if placing them on an acrylic or wooden dowel would work for storage? you could also make spools or dowels with scrap clay perhaps? Are the nail foils delicate like copper, silver or gold foil sheets so many clayers use? Thanks for sharing Trey!!

"This has been a never-ending bottle for me. I've had it for 2 months". LOL. As a nail technician, there are supplies in my nail art cabinet I've had for probably 8 years! They do make a transfer foil adhesive. It comes in a glass bottle, and it looks like a milky white nail polish. I apply it on my client's fingernails, over top of their dried manicure. Once it becomes clear and you no longer see a white film, that's when I lightly touch the foils on to it without rubbing - it transfers so fast & easy. Like a touch-and-go method. I've never tried it on (fimo) clay, but I have baked a UV resin over top of it. Fun ideas you creatively came up with.
