One a year I purge my collection. Get rid of any that have gone bad, i don't use, or have too many similar ones. I always find someone to give them to rather than just throwing them in the trash (unless they are unusable). Last year I gave them to my neighbors, 3 teenage girls. They were ecstatic. I believe I ended up giving away nearly 100 polishes. I really hope you didn't just throw them away.

Its funny the trends on youtube. When I first started watching beauty videos (years and years ago) the trend was towards having big collections. It rubbed off on me and i now have hundreds of nail polishs. Watching beauty videos is fun but also gives you the urge to buy more and more. Now it seems like lots of gurus are doing destashing and decluttering videos. It has been very helpful seeing because I went thru and decluttered my nailpolish and makeup collection. Love the video jen!

I had around 150 bottles (so basically one shelf + overflow) and I got rid of 40 bottles and it was an amazing feeling!! So now all I have is one rack and a little box that holds all of my top coats, blacks, whites etc. for nail art!! It was sooo nice clearing it out and getting rid of all of my dupes and old polishes

Just went and de cluttered all of my polishes the other day and it felt so good! Also it's way easier to pick a shade or to find the exact one that I was looking for instead of having to hold up multiple similar colors to find the right one!

I lost my job and wouldn't mine hand me downs. I know it sounds sad but to others who can't afford it it would definitely be a blessing. I've learned to humble myself, and having two small boys any hand me downs are fine with me lol. My little sister got me into nail polish but currently on a major budget. So much nail polish😱, but I'm impressed with how much you got rid of. It definitely takes a lot of will and guts(and probably a few tears😂). Even though I'm not going through my nail polishes, this still inspires to declutter my whole room in general. Definitely inspiring to watch declutter videos. I have 1 full rack and a tiny bit of over flow & I feel like I have too much (I'm not a youtuber though, no shade being thrown here lol).
