I could've been the one filming this, I had over 1k polishes and thought about getting into blogging or starting a channel but I never did, I hit a point where I didn't even want to do my nails anymore because the decision about what polish to wear was paralyzing. The hard part to swallow is I purchased all those polishes myself. Ouch. I gave away tons and donated a HUGE box full to a local women's shelter. I stopped hoarding in 2018, after my first massive destash I had probably 150 polishes, then each year I'd chip away at it some more. I've been hovering at between 60-75 for the past 4 years. I'd love to have a smaller number but the honest truth is that every polish I have is a favorite and I have my passion back. I see a new launch and I can think "oh that's pretty, but I don't need it."

I have around 75 too, feels like the perfect number (also that's how much my very convenient storage fits). I have all the colours and formulas i like and can recreate others with toppers. At a certain point I just kept seeing all the dupes/similar in most of the big collections I saw on KZbin, and realised after a certain number, we'd just be buying colours we already had.

You did a wonderful job, Hannah! Decluttering nail polish isn’t always easy but it’s an amazing process overall! 🎉✨

I've never had more than 200 bottles of polish but I definitely can relate to your feeling that a large collection becomes a burden and takes up a lot of space. I originally thought I could minimize my collection by using polish up but I came to realize that using up a bottle of polish takes so long that reducing by using it up isn't realistic. I'm still working on cutting my collection down to the ones I really love and look forward to having a smaller curated collection that I can really use and enjoy.

I have been here from the beginning and I remember the big declutter. I understood everything you were going through and all the pressure and expectations you felt. I remember when you switched to cooking and even some crafting. I remember your vlogmases and always looked forward to them. I remember your travels for your job and your lunches out, visits with friends and even your walks. I remember some of the very hard and sad changes as well. I remember your hard post physio video and the days you truly were hurting. Then came changes to incorporate meditation and mindfulness as well. I have always appreciated exactly who you are and always will. I wish I could let you see yourself through others eyes. You are sometimes so hard on yourself and it hurts me to see you hurt. 💔 😢 You are an amazingly special person..emotions and all. You are talented and kind and beautiful inside and out.

You are amazing too, thank you, sending you so much love ❤️❤️

Last year I sold about 100 polishes at a yard sale for 25 cents each. All the young girls loved em. Sold em all.

I have a bit more than 100 up on shelves that my husband made for me. I see it as art on my wall.
