You would need to check the visa regulations for the nationality. For family vacation it would usually be a tourist visa and for a significant other as well, unless you are married or engaged. I am writing a cover letter and got a couple questions I hope you or someone could answer. 1) It is a software company and the job posting only uses "du". Should I also use du/ihr as they "set" the politeness level with their language choice for the job posting or keep it with "Sie"? 2) Many job postings, like this one, want German and English abilities (Ich kann schon Deutsch). If they asked for someone who can do both German and English, would they see it as weird writing half the paragraphs in German and the rest in English, or would they see this as me checking off the "you need to be bilingual" bullet point?

I have completed Diploma in Engineering in Electronics engineering on 2002 and after that I’ve worked in Akij Group (Cigarette factory) as an Electrical engineer and on that company, I’ve worked on German made (COMPANY NAME: FOCKE & CO.) high speed cigarette Packing Machine almost 11 years. From March 2013 I started to work with a US based company in Bangladesh till date as a Plant Manager. My age is 40 and I started to learn German language. The Application process suggests to submit info like Education, Experience, Motivation, and other documents. The motivation field accepts text. Can we apply through such sites??

It depends! Every job application can be different depending on what company you are applying for. The best way to make sure you are applying to legitimate job roles is to do this through professional platforms (i.e. LinkedIn, the company website, etc.) Another great way is to contact recruitment companies to help you find a job in your field. 🙂

Cover letter is over in 2023 ...but since in Germany fax and letters are still in use , then cover letter is another bureaucracy that is required ! My son 16y is unable to understand why a letter is required!

It's not required for every job, but the more traditional the company, the more necessary it is.
