I'm 64, and I've been listening to metal ever since I heard "The Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin since 1971. The late 70's to the early 90's was the best era in metal IMO. I love all genres of metal, but thrash and speed are my favorites. Lovebites is my all-time favorite band. Miyako is my all-time favorite musician (had been Keith Emerson since I first heard ELP). "Judgement Day" is my all-time favorite song.

Life is short. Instead of waiting for them to come to you, it’s better to book a flight to Japan. I heard about a British fan who flew all the way from the UK to see their show, and that gave me the push I needed to attend their concert. It was my first rock concert in 30 years, and it was incredible. I went again the following year, and I’ll probably go next year too. Let’s keep supporting them together. Thank you.

Beautiful and elegant ladies who are showing the world that real music is alive and kicking. I have said many times that lovebites have created their own sound and a a new sub genre which I call lovebites metal. I am 64 and not really into the thrash metal thing, I am more into Black Sabbath and seventies rock but after hearing these ladies do Scream for me I am hooked, guitar maestro’s, the tone of the guitars is right up my alley, with dual guitars like Thin Lizzy how could you go wrong.

Whats funny for me is I grew up on Zeppelin and sort of slept through the 80's it seems. I liked some of the 80's music but most of that synthesizer stuff was trash to me. And I just never transitioned to the metal stuff for some reason. I suspect because you never heard it on the radio. When Van Halen started emphasizing key boards over guitars, I pretty much stopped paying much attention to any new music until Grunge came onto the scene. I mean one of the greatest guitar players in the world thinks we want to hear him play keyboards instead? WTF drugs was he doing? Then I became obsessed with Dream Theater around 1999. So, much of this metal music is new to me now. Lovebites makes me see all that I have been missing.

I love that moment SO much, so no apologies needed. When Fami is doing her solo and Asami gives her the thumbs up and a big smile, it's such a great moment! Love it. Great reaction! I just wanted to chime in because the bass rarely gets enough love, and Fami is phenomenal, as they all are. We Are the Resurrection, the official live video, might be a fun one for you. I love that song for two things: Asami rolling along with her vocals and then coming out and soaring way up above in the chorus, and then the chuggida chuggida of the bass line. Love the bass in that song. Soldier Stands Solitarily has a great bass moment and is a killer song. Judgement Day (I prefer the live version but the MV is great) has a great bass solo intro and outtro. Finally, Break the Wall (the 2020 live version) has an amazing breakdown with Miho on bass. Some of my favorite bass moments from so, so many.

I don't think it was mentioned before, but the main reason Asami also gave Fami the thumbs up is that this was their first show back from hiatus, and most importantly, Fami's first show with the band, and the first song of the set. So when the solos ended, the floor was entirely given to Fami. That's why Miyako and Midori were clapping to the beat, and Asami gave that motherly approval look to what Fami was doing. After that, it was all downhill, as it boosted Fami's confidence, as she was going to give up playing altogether until she was convinced to audition for LoveBites after Miho left. To her, this has all paid off.

Thanks for the reaction. You could say that Midori also has a classical education. At the age of two, Midori started playing the piano, at the age of eight, Midori started playing the organ. At the age of 20, Midori entered the International Institute of Musicians (ESP) and successfully graduated from it. 'Knockin' at Heaven's Gate - Live in Tokyo 2023' - the name of the live Album (2CD/DVD/Blu-Ray), which was recorded on March 11, 2023. LOVEBITES did not have a Tour. On March 11 and 12, 2023, LOVEBITES gave only two concerts in Tokyo, which were united under the general title 'We Are the Resurrection'. The concert on March 11, 2023 was LOVEBITES' first concert after the hiatus, and 'The Hammer of Wrath' was the first song of this concert. That's why at the beginning of the song Asami shouts to the audience: "We are back!" This was also Fami's first concert as a member of LOVEBITES.

Nice reaction, right in the beginning you told that you play bass and Iron Maiden and Judas Priest were some of your influences and at that moment I already knew that you'll quickly become a fan of lovebites. Just go on with reacting to Lovebites and the wolfpack (all of their fans) will follow your channel. My recommendation for you is Shadowmaker, that was the first song I saw from them and I was mesmerized by the quality of musicianship, highly technical and melodic at the same time and great songwriting too.

Great reaction, you have a new subscriber. I am so glad that I have "found" these highly talented artists. I agree to your opinion that - besides all these influences (Iron Maiden, Helloween, Metallica, Judas Priest etc.) - they create their own genre. Miyako composes most of their music, Asami writes most of the lyrics. Their range is so wide - from thrash/speed/power metal to wonderful ballads (I especially love Swan Song with the Chopin Intro and Frozen Serenade) and there is no bad song. I really hope that this band will go on for a lot of years in future.

just the tip of the ice berg - the Japanese music scene is pretty incredible these days - something for everybody and a lot of it...the musicianship is world class and usually delivered with a smile and enthusiasm...there's a lot of metal/hard rock going back to the late '00s that you should enjoy. Many of them but especially Lovebites, blend old school with a modern/fresh sound; and it's all very guitar-centric... initial suggestions: anything by Lovebites Nemophila Band Maid Koiai Hagane Aldious Asterism East of Eden

Japanese Female Bands is the place to be! What a way to kick off your journey! Your channel will grow very quickly, but more importantly, all these ladies are just some of the best (male or female) musicians in the world, and you will be left speechless many, many times. None of these bands have any duds. Fan bases are all wonderful. LOVEBITES are the Goddesses of Metal. NEMOPHILA shares that title, a bit harder and throws some screaming in here and there. BANDMAID are the Goddesses of Hard Rock. There are many others just a notch below these 3 bands. All of these bands are better live for the most part. Anything they can do in the studio, they can do better live. All of them have "features" for most of the musicians in most of their songs. if you look closely, Asami pointed towards Fami with her index finger. perhaps Asami wanted fans to pay more attention to Fami when she plays the bass solo. you are right. On October 24, 2017, the day before the release of the first album, an interview with Lovebites was published. the founder and leader of the band Miho said that Lovebites was created because she wanted to play the same kind of music as Iron Maiden. Miho also said that she wanted to create something that can only be expressed in words: Heavy Metal! The Hammer of Wrath is a song by Miho. she said that she wanted to make a thrash metal song with a slight Arabic flavor

Just so you're aware, your mic only feeds to the right headphone when you're talking. For me at least, this is quite distracting and annoying. It will help your channel to grow if the sound in your videos plays in both speakers.

#Great reaction. But I think you have a little issue about your microphone settings when stop the video to speak, you're mick is in mono setting , the LOVEBITES song is in stereo. When you use headphones to watch your video ( it's make me out of your purpse). I think it is to fix it in the settings mode of your microphone or your recording software.
