Nailing Steelhead with my NEW Fishing Buddy?!

I am BACK!! The past few months have been filled with tough fishing, low water in the creeks, and a busy schedule that has not allowed me the time to get out on the creeks like I typically do around this time of year.
Over Thanksgiving Weekend I had the opportunity to head up to Erie PA and try fishing for some steelhead, despite the low and clear water conditions. The past few times I have been up to Erie (and gotten skunked) I had fished water that I was not the most confident in. Although I found pods of fish, they were extremely pressured and spooked.
So instead, I chose to fish upstream this time, and boy did it PAY OFF!! I met a new fishing buddy along the way and did not see a single person the entire time.
It's days like this that remind me that the tough days of fishing are always worth it. You just have to keep at it, and do what you feel most confident in!
