idk if you know this but in case you don't, don't touch the solid gel without gloves. overexposure allergies to acrylate products are realllly serious. a crosscut nail bit will provide a similar texture without the risk. with that being said, nails are so cute & i love seeing you do something outside your comfort zone ☺

Ty for letting me know this!
@mon67458 ай бұрын
The allergy can spread to not only include gel polish, but basically all acrylates which include dental fillings and surgical implants (which also contain them) was pretty shocked to find out, so I make sure to never touch gel products now
@HaileyBees7 ай бұрын
By any chance is it just the uncured gel that causes this or just gel in general?😅
@lolo25567 ай бұрын
@@HaileyBees overexposure to uncured gel can cause you to have a reaction even if the product's cured properly. but you could also be allergic to an ingredient that isn't acrylates, too. to be as safe as possible, it's best to take the proper precautions as well as using high quality products

Hi Cyy! On the cuticle theme - I stopped using lotions and switched to oils 90% of time (90% because I use cerave creams as well). I apply few drops of oil on my hands throughout the day. And I definitely have seen improvements. Your skin will get used to it and will absorb the oil very quick, so you will not have oily hands feeling. I wipe whatever I have left on my palm either on my face, neck or forearms, etc. I just found out through the experience, that oils is a way to go for skin. Also a small tip - jojoba oil is fastest to absorb, grape seed oil is also good. For night I like thicker oils - almond, rose hip. Add few drops of lavender! I hope this helps! Good luck! Keep sculpting those beautiful nails!! ❤

I'll do my own nails also and I always feel like my cuticles never look like people I see online ...every 4 to 5 days I'm ready for a new set because I can't stand how the cuticle area looks and when I first finish a set they look amazing so I definitely understand ...also I do have my hands and water I have kids I clean so I understand all of those things could also cause these problems but it's still weird😮 beautiful set❤

Hey love! I love your tutorials and was wondering how you achieve the close clear angle for your tutorials? I’ve been struggling very badly with figuring my recording set up out.
@nailsbycyy8 ай бұрын
Hii tysm! Personally it all comes down to practice! I use a my iPhone to record and a basic ring light off of amazon so its nothing too crazy😭 but the key is to make sure that your camera lens is as clean as possible and that your camera is close enough to see the detail! When I first started out I was horrible with this but overtime I’ve gotten a bit better(still new to it🥲) just jump into it and experiment with angles and lighting as you go, and you’ll eventually find that perfect balance💕

Hey Cyy! Question: Do you experience heat spikes when you cure your peel off base coat because of the oil underneath? I think I'll switch to that instead of matte base coat if not.

How do you keep the acrylic from sticking to your brush? Ive been trying to learn how to do acrylics for some time now and instead of getting a little better each time id swear im getting worse.. Lol. You make it look so easy!
@nailsbycyy8 ай бұрын
I typically just use a shop towel to wipe off my brush in-between but sometimes it still gets stuck if my brush is too dry! Also in the beginning stages sometimes it can feel like you’re getting worse but I promise you it’s all apart of the learning curve! Make sure your brush is thoroughly saturated(but not too much😭) and keep practicing ofc💖

I'm not a fan of the thumbnail either but I love the rest of them if you do it again maybe you could just like you did on the first finger making the lines you could go over each individual pedal of the flour to make them stand up and be 3D
