Hey guys, just a little disclaimer for newcomers or anyone who may be wondering: I am currently not working on top of my pinky nail as I’m in the process of treating my nail fungus! This means I’ll be using a press on-like method to adhere the bail for photographing purposes only!😭 I’ll make sure to leave this disclaimer in each vid for clarity! i would love to know your opinion/ask you for advice on gel polishes brands, would you recommend born pretty, beetles or modelones? i'm just starting to play around with uv gel so i'm a bit lost on what to buy!! thank you 🥹

Hmm I would say that, of all three, born pretty has an amazing consistency! Even still, when it comes to pigmentation, they’re all pretty light to medium, so building the color may be necessary!😭 But of course this is all based on my experiences!

Hello Cyy, You are clearly a fantastic artist. I have a question. I am very new to acrylic tips (just did first set at home). The tips have a high curve and my nail beds are flat. So when I attach the tips to my fingers, there’s always an air bubble in the middle of my nail bed and the glue attaches to the bottom, sides, and top of my nails. How do I fix this? Thank you for your help.

Hello! I did a quick search+after knowing exactly what you’re talking about because one of my nails has a flat bed, I believe it’s the amount of product you’re using and how you apply it! Since the nail bed is flat, you need more product (nail glue) to create that “arch”, even with gel x! And how you apply is CRUCIAL. Everything from how you’re holding the gel x nail, to the amount of pressure, and the angle at which you’re applying to the nail! Here’s what I think might help: -Apply enough nail glue to the gel x to where the glue can flow through the whole nail bed. This definitely takes practice and plenty of tries and wiping off nail glue. -When applying the gel x nail, hold it by the tip of the nail. -When you go to apply, make contact with the base of the gel x nail right below your cuticle (like in the video), but when you’re holding the gel x nail, pitch the gel x nail so that way you’re kind of creating a seal between the nail bed and your skin! (This is why you’ll need a lot of product.) (Also don’t squeeze too hard or you’ll create tension between the gel x nail and your nail bed and then the nail will feel uncomfortable when cured :/ ) -Then, gently lower the gel x nail so that the nail glue flows throughout the nail bed (lowering the fake nail from the cuticle base to the tip of the nail). -Once you have it how you like it, IMMEDIATELY flash cure it. Sometimes I have it how I like it, then I try to mess with it more, and one move and BOOM, have to do it all again. I don’t have a goose neck flash cure lamp yet, but if you have one, keep it close to where you’re applying the nail so you don’t have to move much whenever you get the perfect application! I hope this helps! If it didn’t, I’d try to look up some tutorials online/on KZbin, and I’m sure you’ll find some!
