Next project should be Intercontinental Hotel which is now closed. The land itself is wide probably 2 acres. The hotel which has only 8 floors needs to be demolished and an iconic mix use development put in its place keep in mind KICC is right next to the hotel. The idea should be whenever KICC has conferences the hotel can accomodate the entire delegations in one hotel. If KICC seating capacity is 5000 then the hotel needs to accomodate 5000 guests. It should have apartments, resturants from all over the world, duty free shops, casinos, grocery store, movie theatres, swimming pools, art gallery, miniture golf, everything and anything one can think of Also a tunnel built under ground at the hotel to connect to KICC whereby guests can just access their rooms and conferences seamlessly without having to leave the building. The hotel should be a city within a city whereby one does not have to leave the building. The idea is building a GTC but twice the size. Hopefully with its strategic location some investor can come up with such a plan

Rahim Ali...: i like how you have seen an opportunity in the field of construction with our developing country. Few see that and i believe if they truly know how to utilise space,intercontinental hotel should be brought down very soon and a new structure developed...plus i think it can be a small shopping mall and residential houses up high coz few people are ready to spend on renting high end offices in town especially CBD centre with the current Kenyan economy. Most copmanies now opt for home online environment .thats if someone else is thinking of having offices there. Thats one of a kind land that should be well used.
